Defining a conversion rate individually
The last position on the upper display line, «Cu» (= currency) can
be programmed individually, e.g. with the conversion rate for Yen or
US $ (related to Euro).
Using the « s » or « a » key, make «Cu» appear in the upper display
line.

manufacture is «1» which appears in the upper numeral line.
The lower numeral line shows
again, the upper value flashes and can be modified. Enter the desired
conversion rate, e.g. for US $ into Euro: 0.9115 (0.9115 US $ =
1 EUR). Press the
assigned US $ to the free currency position «Cu».
At any time, you may re-program the value entered, e.g. with the
latest conversion rate or with the exchange rate of any other
currency.

Converting from one local currency to another
Braun ET 100 allows you to easily convert from one currency to
another via the Euro, e.g. from IEP to US$ or vice versa.
Enter a given IEP amount (presuming IEP is shown in the upper
display line). Use the « s » or « a » key to make the «Cu» symbol
appear in the upper display line (which, in this example, is program-
med with the US $ rate). The upper numeral line will display the
amount in US $, while the lower numeral line still shows the Euro
amount. Remember to scroll back to IEP, if necessary.

Switching over to the calculation function
Simple calculations including
out without having to exit the currency conversion. All values are
displayed simultaneously in the second currency. The numeral line in
active calculation mode is indicated by the flashing symbol. Using the

In order to exit the currency conversion (e.g. if you want to use the
memory function), press the

Rate key again to save your entry. You have
