Microsoft DirectX 9.0b or higher
Operating system: Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4
and Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
Installing the Hardware:
Attach the aerial converter to the DVB-T USB stick, and
then connect the passive DVB-T aerial provided to the
aerial converter.
Ensure that your notebook or computer meets system
requirements. To ensure that installation runs smoothly,
Service Pack 2 (for Windows XP) or Service Pack 4 (for
Windows 2000) must be installed. Otherwise, the
computer must be updated to DirectX 9.0b or above.
Note for notebook users:
Notebook users should take particular care to ensure
that their graphic card is powerful enough to play DVB-T
programmes. This is particularly relevant for graphic
cards without their own local memories.
Insert the DVB-T USB 2.0 stick into an available USB
2.0 socket. If you want to use the remote control
provided, ensure that there is a direct line-of-sight
connection between it and the receiver. If necessary,
use the USB extension cable provided.
Installing the driver on Windows XP with Service
Pack 2:
If Windows XP prompts you to connect to Windows
Update after you connect the Hama DVB-T USB 2.0
stick to the computer, select No, not this time. Click
Next to continue.
1. After you connect the Hama DVB-T USB 2.0 stick to
the computer, the operating system recognizes the new
USB hardware, and a window opens with the Found
new hardware wizard. Select the option Install
software from a list or particular source (for advanced
users). Click Next to continue.
2. Select Include this area in the search. Click Browse
to search for the location of the driver in the CD-ROM
directory. Select your CD-ROM drive and the
DTV_Driver directory.
3. If a message is displayed informing you that the
software has not passed the Windows-Logo Test, click
the Continue installation button to continue. The
required drivers are then installed. Click Finish to
complete the set-up.
Installing the driver on Windows 2000 Professional
with Service Pack 4:
1. After you connect the Hama DVB-T USB 2.0 stick to
the computer, the operating system recognizes the new
USB hardware, and a window opens with the Found
new hardware wizard. Select the option Install
software from a list or particular source (for advanced
users). Click Next to continue.
2. Select Include this area in the search. Click Browse
to search for the location of the driver in the CD-ROM
directory. Select your CD-ROM drive and the
DTV_Driver directory.
3. If a message is displayed informing you that the
software has not passed the Windows-Logo Test, click
the Continue installation button to continue. The
required drivers are then installed. Click Finish to
complete the set-up.
Installing the Software:
For Windows XP and Windows 2000:
Insert the enclosed driver CD in your CD-ROM drive.
The Hama Installations tool welcome appears. Please
select your language of preference. In the next window
you can choose between three options.
