5. Use
• Select charging mode 1 or mode 2 with the mode selector before connecting the charger to
the mains.
• Insert your rechargeable batteries (not included) into the charger. It is recommended to
simultaneously charge batteries of the same type and capacity only. Refer to the
illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
Remark: This charger does not offer ∆V detection, battery short-circuit protection,
discharge and safety timer functions when charging 9 V E-type batteries. 9 V E-
type batteries can only be charged in mode 2.
• Connect your charger to the mains. The LEDs will flash red once.
• Refer to the table below for the LED status.

Remark: Hold the yellow discharge button pressed to activate the discharge/fast charging
function. The charger will automatically switch to fast charging mode once the
discharge process is completed.
• Remove the batteries from the charger and disconnect the charger from the mains after
use.
