Operating instructions
Bluetooth music receiver

Intended use
The device is used for the wireless reception of audio data via Bluetooth. In this process, the
audio signal is provided either on the 3.5 mm jack output or on the optical S/PDIF connector.
Any device that supports Bluetooth 3.0 and is able to playback audio files and videos can be
used for the transmission.
Read these operating instructions completely and carefully as they contain very important infor-
mation about installation, operation and handling. Observe all safety instructions!

Dear customer,
The following hazard information and safety instructions are intended not only to
protect your health but also to protect your device. Please read the following points
carefully:
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II.
• The mains socket for the wall plug transformer must be located in direct proximity
to the device and easily accessible.
• The product and the wall plug transformer are suitable only for dry indoor areas.
Do not expose these product components to direct sunlight, heat, cold, dampness
or wetness; otherwise they may be damaged.
The wall plug transformer poses the risk of a potentially life-threatening electric
shock!
• This product is not a toy. Devices operated using mains voltage should not be
used by children. Position the product so it is out of the reach of children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• Do not touch any wall plug transformer that shows signs of damage; there is a
danger to life from electric shock!
First, switch off the power supply to the mains socket to which the wall plug trans-
former is connected (e.g. switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove
the safety fuse and then switch off the corresponding RCD). Now disconnect the
wall plug transformer from the mains socket and take the product to a specialized
workshop.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
Connection and commissioning
• Before you can begin, unpack the product and its accessories.
• First, connect your audio device to the music receiver.
To this end, use the 3.5 mm jack output e.g. to connect your stereo equipment or PC loud-
speaker analogously to the product. You may also connect a headset with a 3.5 mm stereo
jack directly to the device.
If your device to which you want to connect the receiver features an optical Toslink input, we
recommend you to use it. In that case, the audio signal will be transmitted digitally. It might
be necessary to enable the S/PDIF input on your household device first. Please observe the
operating instructions of the device in question.
• Connect the wall plug transformer to the power socket of the device and then insert it into a
power outlet. Once the device has started, the blue LED flashes once every 5 seconds and
thus is ready for connection.
Establishing the Bluetooth connection
• Enable Bluetooth on the device you want to use to transmit audio data to the music receiver.
With an Android smartphone for example, you can find this function under "Settings" in the
section "Connections". With Apple iOS you will find this function under "Settings" in the
section "Bluetooth".
• Once the device "Music receiver" is displayed, select it in order to connect e.g. your smart-
phone to the receiver. If no other device is connected to the music receiver, the latter will be
automatically selected for the audio playback. Once the connection has been established,
the blue LED lights up permanently.
Attention. Even though multiple devices can be connected to the receiver via Blue-
tooth, only one of them can be enabled and used for the audio playback. If you wish
to use another device, you first have to disable the other one.
Playback
• Now you can playback any audio file on your device. The sound will be automatically output
on the Bluetooth receiver. Depending on the device, it is also possible to switch the audio
output between the Bluetooth music receiver and the device you are using to playback the
audio files.
• Of course, you can also playback videos. In this process, the image is displayed e.g. on
your tablet and the sound on the receiver or on the device connected to it.
• The control of the playback and the volume is done via your smartphone or tablet, as usual.
Disconnecting the Bluetooth connection
• To disconnect your device from the receiver, navigate to the Bluetooth settings again and
disable the connection. Alternatively, you may simply switch off the Bluetooth connection.

Maintenance and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free. Maintenance or repair work may be performed only by quali-
fied personnel or a specialised repair shop. The product contains no parts that require servic-
ing. Therefore, do not open it.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the casing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment do not belong in the regular household waste.
Dispose of the waste product in accordance with the applicable legal regulations.
