Charging Tips
During charging, the indicator light on the scooter shows the current charging level with a steady light and indicates the remaining charge
flashing.
•
Never charge the battery unattended!
•
Fully charge the battery before using the scooter for the first time. This will take 4-6 hours.
•
The battery needs to be charged in sufficient time. Failure may cause overcharging of the battery and serious damage to the battery.
•
Charge the battery with the enclosed manufacturer's original charger only. Ambient temperatures have to be between 0 and 45 ° Celsius.
•
Use only the supplied or integrated rechargeable battery and original spare parts.
•
Carry out regular checks of the connection plug and the charger. If damaged, they have to be replaced in order to prevent injury or pro-
perty damage.
•
Do not carry out any independent repairs on the battery or on the charger. If a repair or replacement of the battery or charger compo-
nents is necessary, please contact a certified dealer only.
•
Fully charge the battery each time before using the scooter for a long period of time.
•
Fully charge the battery every six months if the scooter has not been used. Storage without sporadic charging can cause the battery to
deteriorate over time.
•
Store the battery at temperatures between 10 ° and 30 ° Celsius.
•
Never drive the e-scooter without the battery connected, as this will destroy the entire electronics.
•
When charging the battery, make sure you have the correct plug connection, adequate ventilation and a dry environment.
•
Never bring the charger, the mains cable or the connecting cable into contact with water, as this could result in an electric shock. Do not
touch with wet hands.
•
Mains and connection cables must not be damaged or crushed by sharp edges or heat.
•
Do not operate the charger if the charger, power cord or connecting cable show visible damage.
•
Always charge on fireproof underground like stone or concrete.
Never store the MODSTER M2-X in a discharged condition, as this can lead to complete destruction! Charge the battery every 6
months when not in use.
Over discharge protection
The e-scooter has an internal over-discharge protection. If the MODSTER M2-X is in the off state and the battery is low, the control system
will shut down to protect the battery bank. To bypass the over-discharge protection, the model must be recharged to re-activate the control
system. If the e-scooter does not „wake up" after 30 minutes of charging, contact your MODSTER dealer or MODSTER Customer Support.
5. Maintainance and Care
Storage
•
Avoid exposing the e-scooter to direct sunlight, rain or heavy moisture for a long period of time.
•
Perform a battery check and charge during longer periods of rest to ensure that the battery is fully charged and prevents overcharging
the battery.
•
The kickstand is designed as a support for the e-scooter. Do not stand on the e-scooter with the stand out. This action may cause the
stand to break.
Cleaning
•
Always turn off the e-scooter before cleaning it.
•
Please check if the charging socket and the power connection is shut and protected from water before cleaning your scooter.
•
Use cleansing wipes and clear or rinsed water to clean the outer parts of the e-scooter. Never immerse the e-scooter in water and never
let the scooter have contact with too much water.
