18. The connectors on mains and extension cables
must be at least splash-proof.
19. The plug on the connecting cable must be
inserted into a socket that accords with
regulations.
20. Always disconnect the mains cable from the
power network before carrying out any cleaning,
servicing or maintenance work.
21. Always use suitable extension cables.
22. Only connect to a power network that is fitted
with leakage current protection equipment.
23. Only persons who are familiar with the machine
and who have been instructed in the possible
hazards may operate, service or repair it.
24. Remove all jewellery when working close to
electrical components.
25. Only use original replacement and accessory
parts. No liability is accepted for similar parts
from other manufacturers.
26. When performing cleaning and servicing work,
ensure that authoritative regulations applicable
to the particular location regarding the correct
handling of oils, fats, acids, alkalis, fuels and
other similar agents are obeyed.
27. Observe the regulations applicable to your
location when disposing of old machines or their
components.
28. Do not clean the machine with a high-pressure
cleaner.
1. Preparing the Machine

Check the cutters and cutting rotor for wear,
and if necessary replace with new parts

3. Switching on/off
Only start the machine when the control handle is
locked. The built-in "dead-man's" switch prevents
the machine from being switched on when the
control handle is vertical.

Insert the mains plug.

Do not lay power cable in intended work
direction.
3.
Unwind the cable completely from the drum.
4.
Adjust the desired grinding depth.
5.
Switching on
is only possible when the control handle is

Press and hold: the machine will run.

Note: Only switch the machine on when
the cutting rotor is raised

4. Adjusting the grinding depth

Adjust the grinding depth by turning the
adjusting screw

Unplug

Tilt machine backwards

Remove the rotor shell screws

Check all parts for wear, and replace with new
ones if necessary

Remove old cutters and shims

Fix the rotor shells in place once more

When using milling cutters, always:
Check equipment
The cutting faces of the milling cutters must
all point in the same direction forwards in
the direction of travel
Check the direction in which the rotor is
turning
The cutting faces must strike the ground

1. Always withdraw the mains plug before
beginning servicing work.
2. Regularly check the mains plug and connecting
cable for functional safety.
3. Only trained electricians may work on electrical
components.
4. Regularly check the cutting tools and the rotor
for wear.
5. Regularly give the machine a dry clean.
11. Fault-finding and rectification
1. The machine does not start
Cause:
Mains plug not inserted
Faulty connecting cable
On/off switch on the control bar is faulty
Faulty capacitor
2. Rotor does not turn
Cause:
Damaged belt
No power to motor
3. Uneven cutting
Cause:
Tighten belt
Cutters worn out
Adjust the rotor's working depth
