4. Safety notes
• Keep away from children and do not allow children to operate this device!
• Only use this product as intended!
• Do not manipulate or dismantle the device!
• For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or that are recom-
mended by the manufacturer!
• Never exceed the permitted roof load of your vehicle. For this purpose, read the manual of your vehicle or ask
the manufacturer.
• Be aware that the driving behaviour of your vehicle changes considerably when driving with a roof load during
procedures such as breaking, side wind and when taking curves. Adapt your driving behaviour accordingly.
• Remove all parts that may be lost before starting your journey, these include air pumps, batteries, battery-pow-
ered lamps, navigation systems, bicycle computers, tool bags or baskets.
• Remove all bags from the bicycle before starting your journey.
• Do not use protective covers for the bicycle during the journey.
• Always observe the greater height of your vehicle with mounted bicycle on the roof, particularly when driving on
boulevards, tunnels, underground and multi-storey car parks.
• Before each journey, check whether the roof-mounted luggage rack, the bicycle holder and the bicycle are secu-
red and firmly mounted.
• After having travelled a while, check whether the roof load is still firmly secured and check this afterwards at
regular intervals.
• For traffic safety reasons, remove the bicycle rack attachment when not in use.
• Never drive faster than 130 km/h when the bicycle rack is mounted.
5. Operating instructions
Example

• Tighten the tension belts so that the bicycle is firmly positioned and secured in the universal adapter.
• Make sure that the rubber tabs (F) are situated between the bicycle frame and the tension belts (D) to protect
the paintwork of your bicycle.
• Finally, double check whether the universal adapter is firmly positioned in your original frame holder and the
bicycle frame in the universal adapter.
• Please refer to the installation instructions of your bicycle rack for the remaining assembly tasks.
Assembly:
•
Open the frame mount (A) of your original bicycle rack attachment.
•
Place the octagonal bottom part (B) of the universal adapter like a bicycle
frame into the opening of the half shell of your original frame holder and
tighten it firmly with the knurled screw (C) of the frame mount.
•
Check whether the universal adapter is firmly positioned in the mount of your
original frame holder.
•
Place your bicycle on the rack.
•
•Adapt the frame mount (G) of the universal adapter to your bicycle frame.
•
Make sure that the bicycle frame is parallel to the mount in the universal
adapter.
•
Both tension belts (D) now have to be pulled around the bicycle frame and
