Operating conditions

The CMC III PU may only be operated under the following operating conditions:

Note:
We recommend that the network settings are changed before the device is installed (see
Section 6).
4.1 Assembly instructions
Note:
For exact temperature measurement using the internal sensor, sufficient air circulation in-
side the enclosure or server rack is required. The position of the CMC PU III must ensure
sufficient air through-flow and vent slots must not be obstructed.
If this is not possible, the temperature sensor 7030.110 in combination with the external
sensor cable must be used in place of the internal temperature sensor.
The assembly of the CMC III PU is made as shown in Fig. 2.
• Mount the CMC III PU so that the front with the transmitter and receiver is pointing to the monitored
door.
• Stick the enclosed reflective foil on the door and the side wall exactly opposite of the IR sensor.
Note:
The distance between the IR sensor in the CMC III PU and the reflective foil must not ex-
ceed 10 cm. Please reposition the CMC III PU accordingly, if necessary.
