Please open the battery compartment on the upper side of the device and insert the batteries. When inser-
ting the batteries, pay attention to the polarity. Install the
compartment
so that the area of diffusion of the ultrasonic speaker is as large as possible and the device
is protected from excessive heat, water and dirt. We recommend positioning the device so that the area of
diffusion is directed downwards from above. For clarification: Imagine the area of diffusion is the beam of
a torch, which needs to illuminate the largest area possible. We recommend using the optional mounting
bracket (item code 07599).
It is
important
that the batteries are inserted correctly. Observe the markings on the cover of the battery
compartment and on the batteries themselves.
We recommend installing the device in the upper third of the engine compartment since martens, due to
their burrowing behaviour, instinctively make their way up through the engine cavity. Moreover, this facilitates
installation and ensures that all of the components are better protected from dirt.

After installing the ultrasonic device, we recommend retesting the device to ensure that it functions correctly.
Perform the test using an ultrasonic tester (Item code. 07595). If the function check is successful but ul-
trasound is not emitted after installation, an installation error has occurred.
Blinking at regular intervals (approx. every 5 seconds) = OK: Ultrasound is being emitted.
LED off = device is switched off.

Were the batteries inserted correctly?

Do the batteries (AA) each have a voltage of at least 1.5 volts? Regular testing of the battery
voltage is recommended.

Please open the battery compartment on the upper side of the device and switch out the batteries. When
inserting the batteries, pay attention to the polarity. Ensure that the battery compartment has been
completely closed!

MPORTANT! Terms of the warranty (please keep in a safe place)!
Our Battery-operated ultrasonic device comes with a 48-month functional warranty.
1.
Any reasonable complaints within the warranty period from the date of purchase will be remedied free
of charge, either through repair or delivery of a replacement product at our discretion. In order for the
warranty to apply, our product must have been properly installed and maintained in accordance with
our installation instructions.
2.
To enable us respond to problems, please return the complete unit, including the batteries and
installation invoice, initially at your own expense. Once the problem has been resolved, the product will
be returned to you free of charge.
3.
We are not liable for any further claims, such as costs for installing/deinstalling the unit. Any claim
under Section 5 of our General Terms and Conditions shall remain unaffected, subject to the conditions
set out therein.
4.
Any damage caused by improper installation or incorrect, negligent or forceful operation shall invalidate
the warranty. There shall be no liability for consequential damage.
