DIAPHRAGM INSPECTION
The probe mechanism is protected by two
diaphragms. These provide adequate
protection under normal working conditions.
Periodically check inside the outer diaphragm
for signs of chips or debris. If this is evident,
replace the outer diaphragm.
Do not remove the inner diaphragm. If this is
damaged, return the probe to your supplier for
repair.
OUTER DIAPHRAGM INSPECTION
1. Remove the stylus.
2. Unscrew the locking ring using the locking
ring tool.
3. Inspect the outer diaphragm for damage. If
the outer diaphragm is undamaged,
carefully wash any debris away with
coolant fluid or similar and re-assemble.
4. In the event of damage, remove by
gripping the diaphragm's near rim and
pulling it out.
INNER DIAPHRAGM INSPECTION
5. Inspect the inner diaphragm for damage. If
damaged, return the probe to your
supplier for repair.
DO NOT REMOVE THE INNER DIAPHRAGM
