2.3. sideways transfer
• Stand with legs slightly apart or astride (one foot forwards and one
foot behind) next to the position that you wish to move to.
• Grip the draw sheet firmly at hip and shoulder height. Move your
body weight backwards until you feel the patient coming with you.
Move forward until the required position is reached.
2.4. Removal
• Turn the patient towards you and remove the rolbord.
• Roll the patient over so that he is lying on his back.
• The draw sheet is removed in the same way as a slide sheet.
