Operating Manual
Please read and observe the
following information and keep
this operating manual safe for
future reference!
Safety Instructions
WARNING!
Risk of suffocation through small parts,

Never open, damage or swallow batter­
ies or allow them to pollute the environ­
ment. They may contain toxic, ecologi­
cally hazardous heavy metals.

Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Do not swallow batteries. If a round cell
or battery is swallowed, contact medical
assistance immediately.
Property damage through overloading!
Do not weigh any objects which are
heavier than the maximum load stipulat­
ed in the technical data. Doing so could
damage the scales permanently.
Intended Use
The digital baby scales, subsequently referred
to as scales, serve to determine weights up to
max. 20 kg. Any other use is considered unin­
tended use. Unauthorised modification or re­
construction is not permitted. Under no cir­
cumstances open the scales or complete any
repair work yourself.

Inserting the Batteries
The scales are operated by means of two
AAA batteries.
Open the battery compartment cover on
the underside of the scales.
Insert the batteries (supplied with the de­
vice) in the battery compartment [5], ensur­
ing correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment cover on
the underside of the scales.
When the batteries are almost empty, the
message Lo appears in the display.
Change the batteries shortly after.
Operation
Switching on
Set the scales down on a horizontal, stable
base.
Press the button [4] for 2 seconds.

Setting the unit of weight
The scales can display the weight in kg (kilo­
gramme), lb (pound) or st (stone).
Press the button [2].

Taring the scales
If you weigh a baby or infant (or another ob­
ject) using an aid (such as a towel), the scales
must be tared.
Taring means that the weight of the aid is
taken into account for the weighing
