5. Operating instructions
5.1 Overview

5.2 Fixing the steering wheel lock
Turn the steering wheel of your car into the straight-ahead position and take out the ignition key.
Let the car's steering lock snap shut. Refer to the manual of your vehicle for this purpose.
Hold the steering wheel clamp together with one hand (Position 1 in the overview). Put the key in the lock (Position
2 in the overview) and turn it clockwise. Now carefully let the steering wheel clamp open, as in Figure 2. Turn the
key anti-clockwise and pull it out of the lock.
Be careful not to let the steering wheel lock break open, as the spring pressure can cause injuries.
Place the steering wheel lock on the steering wheel of your car, from above. Position half of the steering wheel
clamp so that the rim of the wheel fits in well, as in Figure 3. Now press the steering wheel lock together, as in
Figure 4.
Your car now has additional protection against theft.
To remove the steering wheel lock, hold the steering wheel clamp together with one hand. Unlock the lock. Now carefully let the steering wheel
clamp open. Lift the lock from the wheel.
Pressure marks may occur on dashboards with sensitive surfaces, such as leather or alcantara, due to the weight of the
lock.
6. Maintenance and care
6.1 Maintencance
Regularly lubricate the lock with a resin-free oil or graphite.
6.2 Care
Clean the steering lock with a lightly moistened, soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or petrol.
Ensure that no cleaning agents or liquids enter the interior of the steering wheel lock. Store the steering wheel lock in a dry location.
