Congratulations on purchasing a woom 1!
Using the latest technology and the highest quality materials, this balance
bike was developed specifically for children. With correct usage and main-
tenance, it will bring many great memories to you and your child.
Prior to your first ride ensure that :
M Saddle and handlebar are properly installed according to
the assembly instruction.
M Saddle position complements the size of your child. En-
sure that your child can safely start and stop.
M Brakes are operational and have the necessary stop-
ping power. Ensure that the brake levers can be easily
reached.
M Wheels are properly attached to the fork. Ensure that
the wheels turn easily.
M Nuts and screws and other components have a tight
and proper fit. Also ensure that the quick release is
tightened properly.
M Wheels and rims are free of any damages. Ensure that they do
not contain any external particles.
M The tires have the recommended air pressure. Find the re-
commendation on the side of the tires.
Parents' responsibility
The woom 1 has the CE-sticker and conforms to EN 71
(Toy Safety) regulations. Nevertheless, unforeseeable
situations may still occur during your child's use. There-
fore, advise your child of the dangers of falls or collisions,
as well as of potential injuries to your child or a playmate.
Show your child how to use the woom 1 correctly and
how to stop safely using their feet at any moment.
Warning
Children must wear sturdy and secure shoes when
riding the woom 1. Wearing a woom kid's helmet as well as
woom gloves is also recommended for better protection.
Never let your child ride unsupervised! Do not ride near
stairs, hills, sloping terrain or water! Never let your child
ride if a defect appears on the woom 1. Always check if
the valve caps are tightly secured, so that they cannot
be unfastened by your child (swallowing and choking
hazard!). Despite the steering limiter that we have de-
veloped, which prevents twisting of the handlebars, it is
possible for the rubber bands to tear. Replace the steer-
ing limiter if it tears. We offer spare replacement parts in
our online shop.

Correct use

The woom 1 does not conform to Road Traffic Licensing
Regulations and so cannot be used in traffic. Only for use
in suitable play areas. Note the recommended height
for using a woom 1. The saddle height can be changed
by opening the seat clamp with a hex key and adjusting
it to the approriate height of the child. Note that the
child's legs should be slightly bent and both feet should
be able to sit flat on the ground. The child should be able
to stop at any time. Be certain that the child can easily
reach the handlebars. Regularly check the tire pressure.
Instructions on the correct pressure can be found on the
tire sidewall.
Brakes
Children using the woom 1 from the age of 1.5 years pos-
sibly do not have the motor skills to understand the brake
system and to be able to use handbrakes in order to stop.
It is important that you as a parent do not assume that
your child can stop by themselves. For this reason it is
absolutely necessary to always have adult supervision.
The woom 1 has the CE-sticker and conforms to EN 71
(Toy Safety) regulations.
