Hardware installation:
• Make sure that your computer is switched off. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
Also turn off all other peripherals you may have attached to your computer.
• Select a free PCI slot. Remove the cover from the slot. Keep the screw. You will be using it in a
next step.
• Carefully slide the internal modem into the chosen slot. Press firmly on the top of the modem to
mount it. Fasten the modem to your system with the screw you removed in the previous step.
Replace the computer's cover.
• Plug one end of the phone cable into the Line jack on your fax modem. The other end of the phone
cable should be connected directly to the PHONE outlet.
• Turn on your computer.
Software installation:
Installation procedures for Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP:
Fax modem PCI card with plug & play functions. You do not have to worry about the hardware
configurations as a complete setup can be run with the help of the plug & play driver that is included
with Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP software.
1. Once you have completed the hardware installation. Power on your computer. When running Win
95/98/2000/ME/XP, your system will detect a new device and the following message will appear.
2. Place the CD containing driver for Win95/98/2000/ME/XP into your CD-ROM drive.
Then select the "Search for best driver for your device(recommended)" option, then click Next.
3. Specify the location of the modem driver.
E,g.,D:/Modem/model Number/Win95/98/2000/ME/XP. Then click Next
4. Follow the procedure Windows will locate your driver click Next→Next→Next→Finish→Next→
Next→Next
5. The installation has been completed click finish.
Installation procedures for Windows NT4.0:
Where Windows NT4.0 installation configuration doesn't support plug & play functions, Modem driver
provide SETUP for installation procedure.
1. Please put the CD into your CD-ROM drive; Specify the location of the modem driver,
e.g.D:/Modem/Model number/NT
2. A message of install a new modem appear, click "Yes" , then select " Add" ,click "item"
3. Please select the specify Com Port, then click Next.
4. The installation has been completed click finish.
