INSERTING THE BATTERIES
• Open the battery cover on the back
of the appliance.
• Insert 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries. Make
sure the batteries are fitted with the
correct polarity (see the markings
at the bottom of the battery
compartment).
• Replace the cover.
• Change the batteries when the
message "Lo" is shown on the
display.
USE
1. Place the appliance on a flat, stable
surface.
2. Run your fingers across the on/
off panel to turn the appliance on.
When the display shows "0", it is
ready for use.
3. Place the item to be weighed on the
weighing platform. The weight will
appear on the display.
4. If you want to use a container to
weigh something, place it on the
weighing platform. The weight of
the container will be displayed.
Press the TARE button to reset the
display. Weigh as described in point
3. If you remove the container, the
display will show a negative value
corresponding to the weight of the
container. Press the TARE button to
reset the display.
5. While weighing, press the MODE
button to lock the weight in the
display. The weight flashes when it
is locked. Press the MODE button
again to unlock and reset it.
6. The appliance automatically turns
off after around 30 seconds of
inactivity. The appliance can also
be switched off by pressing and
holding the TARE button for around
2 seconds.
Caution! The scale is accurate to within
+/- 1 gram when used correctly.
CHANGING THE MEASUREMENT
UNIT
• You can change the measurement
unit (grams or ounces) by pressing
and holding the MODE button for
around 2 seconds when the scale is
on.
