6. Maintenance

The only need for maintenance of the cushi-
ons is cleaning:
1. Open the zipper at the rear and take the
outer cover off.
2. Open the zipper at the bottom of the
middle white ProTex cover (Netti|Sit).
3. Take out the core, and place it edgewise
for airing while the covers are washed.
4. Follow washing instructions described
on label attached to the bottom of the
middle and outer cover.
5. The core is placed in the covers with the
label facing down. For correct position of
front and rear, see label.
6. Make sure that the label and zipper of the
middle cover (if used) is facing down.
7. Mount the outer cover. Make sure that
the zipper faces rearwards and that the
label faces down.

7. Routines for inspection

Before seating the user, check that the cus-
hion is placed correct according to instruction
on label under the cushion. On a regular basis,
check that the core and covers are placed
correctly (follow description under chapters
5 & 6).
The need for washing core & covers will vary
from user to user depending on degree of
incontinence etc. A rule of thumb can be to
take the core out of the covers once a week
and let it stand edgewise to aerate and at the
same time wash the covers.
It is recommended to have an extra cover for
the cushion so that the user doesn't need to
wait for the covers to dry.
The core and the covers are to be washed
seperately. Use mild detergent. DO NOT USE
CHLORINE BLEACH. After washing, shake the
core to remove excess water and let it stand
to dry. Do not use harsh cleaners such as
scouring pads & heavy-duty grease removers,
or solvents, such as acetone. To remove spots
and stains, use standard household cleansers
and a soft cloth. To loosen heavy, dried-on
soil, you may first need to saturate the spot.
