•
Make sure the assembly instructions have been followed correctly in assembling the
product.
•
Set the unit up in a suitable position, on a level surface away from areas likely to
catch fire.
•
The unit will get hot so ensure it stands on a suitable surface.
•
Ensure there is at least a 1 metre clearance around all sides of the unit. Keep away
from fences, over hanging branches and other combustible materials.
Lighting procedure
To start a fire, place a small quantity of kindling wood and rolled newspaper in
the unit. Light the paper and allow a flame to build up. Once sufficiently alight add
logs or larger pieces of untreated wood to the unit to increase the heat slowly.
Notes
•
DO NOT overload the unit with fuel/wood - if the fire is too intense this could
•
damage the Chimenea.
•
ONLY burn 3-4 large pieces of wood at a time.
•
Always ensure that fuel does protrude from the front opening of the Chimenea.
•
Always wear oven gloves during this handling process.
Extinguishing
•
To extinguish the unit - stop adding fuel and allow the fire in to die or douse with sand.
•
DO NOT use water unless in an emergency, as this may damage the unit.
