CHECKING THE HYDRAULIC FLUID LEVEL

IMPORTANT: the maximum quantity of fluid contained in this jack is 6.0 L. Compatible fluid: ATF DEXRON IID
In order to check the level of the fluid:
1. Bleed off the air (see procedure in the next section)
2. Unscrew the cap,
3. If the hydraulic fluid is not visible when you have unscrewed the cap, the level could be low. Top up the fluid in this
case. The level should be up to the cap. DWG. 6
4. If fluid comes out, let the excess quantity drain off until the correct level is reached.

BLEEDING THE AIR

Each time the jack is serviced, with parts of the tank and pump group being removed, it is advisable to bleed off the air.
Bleeding phases:
1. Use the rapid raising function to fully extend the piston.
2. Loosen (NEVER unscrew it completely!) the grub screw on the cylinder head,
air flow out from the grub screw; when hydraulic fluid starts to flow out, tighten the grub screw again. If necessary,
push the piston back in by hand.
3. Push the piston all the way back in and check the fluid level.
4. Try operating the jack without any load; if the piston does not lower smoothly, repeat the procedure at least 2 or 3
times.
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS TO BE PERFORMED ONLY BY A
QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN
When maintenance or an overhaul of the jack is required, use only genuine spare parts to ensure the utmost reliability for
the jack.
Before performing any maintenance on the jack, retract the pistons fully and disconnect the jack from the air circuit.
If it is necessary to perform maintenance on or replace the manual pump, it is possible to remove the manual pump from
the jack without having to drain the hydraulic fluid from the tank or the pistons.
To perform this operation, screw in the screw D (DWG. 5), and remove the retaining screws

Once the repair has been performed and the manual pump reinstalled, unscrew screw D, DWG. 5, again.
It may be necessary to bleed off excess air after performing this operation.
