This unit is designed to operate on AC household current or batteries.
AC/power operation:
Insert one end of the AC line cord (included) into the AC power jack on the rear of the unit and the
other end into a conveniently located AC outlet 230 V~50 Hz. When the AC cord is plugged in, the
batteries will be disconnected.
Insert batteries:
Remove the Battery Compartment cover on the bottom of the unit by pressing in the two tabs (see
figure 1) and lift the battery door off. Insert eight (8) 1,5V "C" R14/LR14 cell batteries (not inclu-
ded), observing the battery polarity indicated inside the compartment and in figure 2. Close the
Battery Compartment.
- Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old
batteries with fresh ones.
- If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the
batteries. They may leak.
HEADPHONE JACK:
Insert headphones (not included) into the Headphones jack for private listening. The speakers will
be disconnected when listening with headphones.
Turn the volume down before you put on the headphone.
