G Operating instructions
Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely. Keep these operating instructions in a
safe place for future reference.
1. Extent of Delivery
• USB 2.0 OTG HUB/card reader
• USB adapter
• These operating instructions
2. Safety Instructions
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and
use it in dry rooms only.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or
other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major
shocks.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave
any and all service work to qualified experts.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes
damaged.
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the
warranty.
• Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the reach
of children!
• Ensure that the total power consumption of all connected
terminal devices does not exceed 500mA.
• Before connecting a terminal device, check whether the
power output of your tablet PC can supply sufficient power
for the device.
• For more information, see the operating instructions for your
tablet PC and the terminal device. If necessary, ask the relevant
manufacturer's support centre for the information you need.
• Do not connect USB hubs to the adapter.
3. System Requirements
The USB card reader supports the following operating systems:
• USB type A plug:
Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista / X P
Mac OS 10.x
• Micro USB type B connector:
Android 4.0 or higher
4. Product Features
The product supports the following memory cards:
• SD / SDHC / SDXC
• microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC

5. Getting started
• Connect the product to a free USB port on your computer/
notebook/smartphone/tablet PC.
• Insert your memory card into the corresponding slot on the
card reader. You can now transfer data between your device
and the memory card.
Warning – Data Loss
• Ensure that data transfer is complete before you remove
the memory card from the card reader.
• Always use the "Eject" function of your operating system
before removing the removable storage medium from the
card reader or disconnecting the card reader (with inserted
storage medium) from your device.
• If you do not do this, data may be lost.
Note – Android
• If your device is host/OTG-capable, but does not yet have
the required software version and does not recognise the
hub/card reader, you may have to download and install an
additional plug-in app from a portal offering Android apps.
6. Exclusion of Warranty
Hama GmbH & Co. KG assumes no liability and provides no
warranty for damage resulting from improper installation/
mounting, improper use of the product or from failure to observe
the operating instructions and/or safety notes.
