1. Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your Smoky Multi Socket!
The Smoky Multi Socket is a special effects appliance that simulates a malfunction in a
junction box. The junction box produces smoke and a soft crackling sound. Purpose of the
practice appliance is that the person who is being trained will disconnect the distributor plug from
the mains voltage. After it 'simmers' a bit more the appliance will stop smoking and the exercise
will have been completed correctly. The Smoky Multi Socket is very suitable to test and develop
the decisiveness of emergency aid staff. The appliance was created for educational purposes and
therefore should be used as such.
