2. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

During transport and storage follow the guidelines contained in 1
chapter and transport and storage guidelines.
2.1 transport and storage guidelines
 The fan should be transported and stored in original packaging,
without excessive shocks. The device must be protected from
weather conditions, transported and stored in dry, well ventilated,
and free from substances harmful to the device, areas. The fan
cannot by transported and stored in areas with fertilizers, chlorinated
lime, acids and other aggressive chemicals. Fan should be protected
against foreign body entrance.
 During transport and storage the fan must be protect against
mechanical damage, including crushing.
 The unit should be lifted by the handle (Figure 2) being part of the
frame (Figure 2). Do not lift the unit by the power cord or the speed
regulator. Due to the weight of the fan - it is prohibited to transfer
the device by only one person.
 It is recommended that storage time not exceed one year. After
long storage, before start check the fan. (chapter 4).
 During transport the casing of the fan must be braced by screwing
the clamping lever (Figure 2).

3. INSTALLATION

During installation follow the guidelines contained in 1 section of this
instruction and installation guidelines. Regulation of motor speed
and tilt angle should be made in accordance with points 3.2 and 3.3.
3.1 installation guidelines
 Ensure that the start of the fan will not cause the risk for personnel
safety and material damage.
 The fan cannot work with voltage, frequency and current higher
than indicated on the fan nameplate because it may result in the
overload of the motor and to mechanical damage caused by
overspeed.
 The fan is designed for continuous duty (S1) - too frequent
switching can lead to overheating / damage an electric motor.
 The fan is designed to work in all its characteristic area.
 In case of activation of any electrical protection, detection of
damage, working with current greater than specified on the fan
nameplate – unit must by immediately turn out off use.
 Use protection against electric shock and short circuits (in
accordance with local law requirements).
Before disconnection from the power supply the unit has to be
switched off by the voltage controller. Starting the fan with too low
supply voltage (eg. lowest gear of the controller) may result in failur
start-up and overheating the motor. If the START PHASE is not
activated (see 3.2) the fan has to be start with highest gear of the
controller. If the START PHASE is activated - the starting gear has to
be set on the highest value.
To disconnect from the power supply, grip the plug and pull from
the power socket. Never pull by the cord.
3.2 speed regulation
The fan is supplied with a integrated voltage controller which allows
to change the speed by lowering the voltage (output power).
Before first use of the unit attention to the following guidlines of
speed regulation should be paid.
The controller has three modes (Figure 2): SWITCHED OFF,
OPERATION, CONFIGURATION and boot options (boot with or
without START PHASE).
Boot with or without START PHASE
The device will initiate the start phase or will start the normal
operation – despondingly on the configuration.

OPERATION MANUAL
No. AFK/U/2018
The start phase will be indicated by blinking diode which also shows
the level of the start power.
SWITCHED OFF Mode
After switching on the supply voltage the device automatically
initiates the mode SWITCHED OFF. In this mode, the fan is not
working, and the controller indicates the adjusted speed (pulsing
diode of output power level - Fig.2).
Buttons for increasing and decreasing power values are active (plus
and minus - Fig. 2).
OPERATION Mode
To start the fan, the middle button has to be pressed and kept during
about half of a second (Fig.2). Depending on the current
configuration, the device will initiate the start phase or will start the
normal operation
CONFIGURATION Mode
 To enter configuration mode the button with the icon of a
cogwheel has to be pressed and kept (Fig.2).
 There are three parameters to be adjusted ("whether the start-up is
with the increased level of power" - Fig. 2), duration of the start
phase ("duration of start-up in seconds" - Fig. 2), power level of the
start phase ("level of start power " - Fig. 2).
 Selection between the parameters are executed by a short press of
the configuration button.
 The change of the value of the parameter is achieved by the
buttons plus and minus
 Pressing and keeping the configuration button will cause that the
adjustments will be recorded in the memory of the device and the
device will go to the mode SWITCHED OFF.
It is recommended to use the option starting with the increased
power level to the maximum speed. Otherwise, please make sure
that under operating conditions the fan impeller with a cold engine
can start to work (if you do not - you should switch to SWITCHED
OFF, and then change the configuration settings).
3.3 tilt angle
 The fan has adjustable tilt angle in the range 0-90 °.
 To change the tilt angle, loosen the clamping lever (fig. 1). After
setting the desired angle tighten the screw again.
 Changes in the tilt angle is allowed only with the fan disconnected
from the power supply.
4. MAINTENANCE, REVIEW
During maintenance and review follow the guidelines contained in 1
chapter of this instruction and maintenance guidelines.
4.1 maintenance guidelines
 The fan must be subject of regular review and maintenance (point
4.2). The set between routine checks and maintenance should be
determined by user, based on the observation of unit and specific
conditions of use. In the case of irregularities the device must be turn
off and subjected to review, maintenance and possible repairs.
 To clean the fan use slightly damp delicate material. It is prohibited
to use detergents, liquids under pressure and tools that may scratch
the unit surface.
 The maintenance of electric motor should be carried out in
accordance with the technical documentation of the engine.
 Additional information about voltage regulator can be found in the
attached manual.
 Prevent the accumulation of dust/dirt on and inside the fan. Dirt
accumulated on: grids – may reduce the fan parameters;
impeller – may lose it balance; housing and motor – can reduce the
cooling; hot surfaces – in extreme situations may ignite.
