MAINTENANCE

STORAGE
The electronics of the EC meter are fairly sensitive so it is necessary to
prevent the formation of condensation on the board, the meter is best
stored at room temperature.
TO CLEAN
It is important to work with a clean measuring flask at all times. Most
organic and fat deposits can be easily removed with ammonia. Never
clean the flask with a scouring agent as this may alter the electrode
characteristics. Always rinse well with demineralized water.
BATTERY
If the battery is empty the meter will show the message "LO BAT" in the
top left-hand corner of the display before the measurement is affected.
Change the battery as soon as possible when this happens. When the
battery is critical low the meter switch off automaticly.
AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN
After switching on, the meter will be automatic shutdown after 10
minutes.
CHECKING
It is possible to check the function of the meter using an EC calibration
fluid (for example 12,88mS) or demineralized water.The EC value of this
is between 0.01 and 0.05 milli Siemens.
