• Cut solid ingredients into smaller pieces (1-2cm) before you put them in the glass jug.
Do not process a large quantity of solid ingredients at the same time. Process a series
of small batches instead.
• You can pour liquid ingredients (e.g. oil) into the glass jug through the opening in the
measuring cup while the appliance operates.
Cleaning the appliance is easiest immediately after use. Do not touch the cutting edges of the blade units when
you handle or clean them. They are very sharp and you can easily cut your fingers on them. Never use scouring
pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Note: Parts of the appliance may become discoloured when the appliance is used to process ingredients that
contain a lot of pigment such as carrots and tomato paste. This is normal.
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Remove the glass jug from the motor unit. 3 Clean the motor unit with a moist
cloth.
3. Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.
4. Clean the detachable parts in warm water with some washing-up liquid and
rinse them under the tap.
5. If necessary, remove the sealing rings from the blender blade units and rinse
them with water.
6. Do not touch the cutting edges of the blade units when you handle or clean
them. They are very sharp and you can easily cut your fingers on them.
7. Wind excess mains cord round the base of the appliance for easy storage
(see picture).

Cleaning and Care

Troubleshooting

Reason
The appliance is equipped with a safety
lock. If the glass jug is not assembled
properly on the base unit, the appliance
does not work.
The appliance is equipped with a
thermal cut-out. If the appliance
overheats, the thermal cut-out
automatically cuts off the power supply
to the appliance.
There is too much food in the beaker.
Solution
Unplug the appliance. Check if the glass
jug is assembled properly (see chapter
'Using the appliance').
Unplug the appliance and let it cool
down for 30 minutes. Then put the plug
back into the wall socket and press the
button to determine if the appliance
works again.
Unplug the appliance and remove some
of the contents from the blender jug.
Process a smaller quantity.
