IV. Commercial use
CAUTION: According to German safety regulations BGV D34 (VBG 21), a DIN
30 693 approved hose rupture guard and a safety pressure regulator with an
excess pressure valve must be fitted when using the heater in a commercial
setting (e.g. at fetes). A hose rupture guard and a safety pressure regulator
are not supplied. These can be acquired as accessories in specialist shops.
AS IT IS SUPPLIED TO THE CUSTOMER, THE PATIO HEATER IS ONLY
INTENTED FOR PRIVATE USE.
V. Start up and use
1. Open the canister valve (B)
2. Press the regulator button (F) until the small flame symbol (G)
appears and at the same time continuously press the piezo-
ignition button (H). After successful ignition, keep the regulator
button pressed for another 10 seconds. This brings the burner
up to the necessary operating temperature.
In the rare case that the heater does not ignite after the piezo-
ignition button has been pressed 4 or 5 times, repeat the procedure
after 2 minutes.
Note:
It is possible to ignite the device using other primers
(matches, fire sticks) which are ignited through the
burner base openings Ø18.5mm.
VI. Turning off
1. To switch of the device, close the canister valve (B).
