What is Smart Box?
Mio™ Smart Box provides power to your MiVue™ recorder by connecting with the constant power of the fuse
terminal of your vehicle. It is very useful when you want to record video footage whilst parking. Smart Box can
prevent the discharge of the vehicle battery by blocking the electric power automatically as it checks the preset
time and voltage.
Precautions and Notices
Rated input voltage: DC 12~24V, output current: 2A maximum
WARNING! Do not use other than rated output voltage status. This product can only be used with the vehicles
that have DC 12~24V voltage. (Passenger car/RV: 12V, truck/bus: 24V)
ƒ Follow the installation instructions below or ask a specialist technician for assistance.
ƒ There may be deviations in vehicle power voltages about vehicle battery status and usage environments. Make
sure to turn the power off to the recorder if the vehicle will not be used after 2 days or more.
ƒ Never attempt to disassemble, repair or make any modifications to the product. Disassembling, modifying or any
attempt to repair could cause damage to your device, may inflict bodily harm or damage to property and will void
any warranty.
ƒ You must use the product as intended. Misuses, neglect, accident or abuse will not cover the warranty,
replacement or refund.
ƒ Do not drop the product or subject it to severe shock.
ƒ When installing, mounting and storing please do so in a dry place.
ƒ Please check the installation and operation of the product regularly.
ƒ MiTAC is not responsible for any damages caused by not observing the above warnings and precautions.

Installation and Setup
1. Locate and open the fuse box inside of the vehicle.
Please note that the installation illustrations are for your reference only. The placement of the fuse box may
vary depending on the vehicle model. If you encounter any problems during installation it is recommended
that you contact a skilled installer (e.g. the service personnel of the vehicle) for assistance.
2-a. Check and confirm the vehicle's voltage by using the electricity tester as battery voltages varies per vehicle.
You must confirm your vehicle's voltage.
Use the electricity tester to locate the fuse from which the power is supplied even when the vehicle is
turned off, for example the emergency flashing hazard lights, interior and door lights etc. Connect the red
wire (B+) to the fuse.
Use the electricity tester to locate the fuse from which the power is not supplied when the vehicle is turned
off, for example the indicator lights. Connect the yellow wire (ACC) to the fuse.
The black wire (GND) must be connected to the metal part of the vehicle for grounding. If not grounded
this product may not work properly. You can use a screw to attach the black wire to the vehicle (try to find
a screw hole on any metal part).
2-b. Connect the Smart Box to the recorder and confirm it is working properly by the LED indicator that glows in
red. Then you can arrange the cable and complete the installation.
Length of the provided cable is about 4.5 metres. You can route the cable through the top ceiling and the
A-pillar so that it does not interfere with driving. Make sure that the cable installation does not interfere
with the vehicle airbags or other safety features.
3. Set up the voltage and time by adjusting the switches:
ƒ Setting up the voltage: If the voltage of vehicle battery falls lower than the preset voltage value, the
power to the recorder will be disconnected automatically.

ƒ Setting up the time: If the time passes the preset time (by checking the time after vehicle ignition is
turned off), the power to the recorder will be disconnected automatically.

Co je Smart Box?
Mio™ Smart Box zajišťuje napájení vašeho rekordéru MiVue™ prostřednictvím propojení s konstantní výkonovou
pojistkou vašeho vozidla. Je to velmi užitečné, chcete-li nahrávat videa během parkování. Smart Box dokáže
zabránit vybití baterie vozidla tak, že automaticky zablokuje elektrický výkon, neboť zkontrolujte přednastavený
čas a napětí.
Zásady a upozornění

Varování! Nepoužívejte jiné než nominální vstupní napětí. Tento produkt lze použít pouze u vozidel, která mají

Instalace a nastavení
1. Vyhledejte a otevřete pojistkovou skříň ve vozidle.
Upozorňujeme, že obrázky k instalaci slouží pouze jako reference. Umístění pojistkové skříně se může lišit v
závislosti na modelu vozidla. Pokud během instalace dojde k jakémukoli problému, doporučujeme, abyste
kontaktovali zkušeného technika (např. zaměstnance autoservisu), který vám pomůže.
2-a. Pomocí testovacího zařízení zkontrolujte a ověřte napětí vozidla. Napětí baterie se liší v závislosti na vozidle.
Napětí svého vozidla musíte potvrdit.
K nalezení pojistky, která zajišťuje napájení i tehdy, když je vozidlo vypnuté, použijte testovací zařízení.
Například, nouzové světla, vnitřní světla, světla dveří, atd. Do pojistky zapojte červený kabel (B+).
Testovací zařízení použijte k nalezení pojistky, která dodává energii, je-li vozidlo vypnuté. Například signální
světla. Do pojistky zapojte žlutý kabel (ACC).
Černý kabel (GND) musí být z důvodu uzemnění zapojen ke kovové části vozidla. Není-li tento produkt

2-b. Smart Box připojte k rekordéru a zkontrolujte, zda správně funguje, poznáte to podle kontrolky LED, která se
rozsvítí červeně. Potom kabel narovnejte a instalaci dokončete.
Délka dodaného kabelu je zhruba 4,5 metru. Kabel můžete vést přes horní část stropu a Sloupek, tak, aby
vám nepřekážel během jízdy. Ujistěte se, zda instalace kabelu nenarušuje umístění airbagů vozidla nebo
další bezpečnostní funkce.
3. Pomocí spínačů nastavte napětí a čas.

Was ist Smart Box?

Installation und Einrichtung
1. Öffnen Sie den Sicherungskasten im Fahrzeug.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Installationsabbildungen nur als Beispiele dienen. Die Lage des Sicherungskastens
kann sich je nach Fahrzeugmodell unterscheiden. Wenn während der Installation ein Problem auftritt,
empfehlen wir dringend einen Fachtechniker (z.B. den Servicetechniker des Fahrzeugs) zu kontaktieren.
2-a. Überprüfen Sie die Fahrzeugspannung mit dem Stromtester. Die Batteriespannung ist je nach Fahrzeug
unterschiedlich. Sie müssen die Spannung Ihres Fahrzeugs überprüfen.
Verwenden Sie den Stromtester, um die Sicherung zu finden, über die Strom geleitet wird, selbst wenn das
Fahrzeug aus ist. Zum Beispiel die Notbeleuchtung, Innenraumbeleuchtung und Türleuchten usw. Schließen
Sie das rote Kabel (B+) an die Sicherung an.
Verwenden Sie den Stromtester, um die Sicherung zu finden, über die kein Strom geleitet wird, wenn das
Fahrzeug aus ist. Zum Beispiel die Blinker. Schließen Sie das gelbe Kabel (ACC) an die Sicherung an.

Installation et configuration
1. Localisez et ouvrez la boîte de fusible à l'intérieur du véhicule.
Notez que les illustrations d'installation sont pour votre référence seulement. L'emplacement de la
boîte à fusibles peut varier en fonction du modèle de véhicule. Si vous rencontrez un problème lors de
l'installation, nous vous recommandons vivement de contacter un installateur qualifié (par exemple, le

2-a. Vérifiez et confirmez la tension du véhicule en utilisant le testeur électrique. La tension de la batterie varie
en fonction du véhicule. Vous devez confirmer la tension de votre véhicule.
Utilisez le testeur électrique pour trouver le fusible lorsque le courant est présent même lorsque le
véhicule est arrêté. Par exemple, pour les lumières clignotantes d'urgence, l'éclairage intérieur et
lumières de porte, etc. Branchez le fil rouge (B +) au fusible.
