Hardware Setup:
▸ Connect WD PiDrive device to your Raspberry Pi with the included WD PiDrive
cable.
▸ Recommended power adapter is 5V, 3A (5V, 2.5A minimum) with a good quality
low-resistance power cable.
▸ The WD PiDrive power kit is recommended for setting up the above (available at
wdlabs.wd.com).
▸ Insert microSD
slot on your Raspberry Pi.
▸ Connect keyboard, mouse, video monitor and any other peripherals to your
Raspberry Pi.
▸ Prior to installing OSs, you must disconnect any Internet connections (Wi-Fi or
Ethernet) to ensure optimized compatibility of installed software (Raspbian PIXEL,
Raspbian Lite and dedicated Project Spaces).
▸ Turn on video monitor; connect 5V power to your Raspberry Pi.
Software Setup:
Click the checkbox(es) next to the item(s) you wish to install.
IMPORTANT: This package is designed for a one-time setup and install, if you
need to go into recovery mode this will delete all content on the drive.
Select destination device as "sda...".
If asked, select "Yes" to reformat the drive.
Select default language/keyboard at the bottom of the screen.
Click the "Install" button at top of menu.
Click "Yes" to confirm.
After software is installed, click "Ok" to proceed. Installation is now complete.
Double-click the item in the menu that you wish to launch.
The system will continue to format the WD PiDrive device in the background
during the initial use period, and the WD PiDrive device's LED will flash constantly.
This is normal.

Hardwareeinrichtung:
▸ Schließen Sie das WD PiDrive-Gerät mithilfe des mitgelieferten WD PiDrive-Kabels an
Ihren Raspberry Pi an.
▸ Verwenden Sie ein Netzteil mit 5 V, 3 A (mindestens 5 V, 2,5 A) und ein hochwertiges
Netzkabel mit geringem Widerstand.
▸ Das WD PiDrive Power-Kit (verfügbar unter wdlabs.wd.com) wird zur Einrichtung des
oben genannten Geräts empfohlen.
▸ Führen Sie die mit dem WD PiDrive-Gerät mitgelieferte microSD
TM card, included with the WD PiDrive device, into the microSD
microSD-Steckplatz Ihres Raspberry Pi ein.
▸ Schließen Sie Tastatur, Maus, Monitor und alle anderen Peripheriegeräte an Ihren
Raspberry Pi an.
▸ Trennen Sie vor der Installation von Betriebssystemen alle Internetverbindungen
(Wi-Fi oder Ethernet), um eine optimale Kompatibilität der installierten Software
(Raspbian PIXEL, Raspbian Lite und dedizierten Projektbereichen) sicherzustellen.
▸ Schalten Sie den Monitor ein und schließen Sie Ihren Raspberry Pi an eine
Stromquelle mit 5 V an.
Softwareeinrichtung:
Klicken Sie auf die Kontrollkästchen neben den Elementen, die Sie installieren möchten.
WICHTIG: Dieses Paket ist für eine einmalige Einrichtung und Installation ausgelegt.
Wenn Sie in den Wiederherstellungsmodus wechseln müssen, wird der gesamte Inhalt
der Festplatte gelöscht.
Wählen Sie als Zielgerät "sda...".
Wenn Sie gefragt werden, ob Sie die Festplatte neu formatieren möchten, wählen
Sie "Ja".
Wählen Sie die Standardsprache/-tastatur im unteren Bildschirmbereich.
Klicken Sie oben im Menü auf die Schaltfläche zum Installieren.
Klicken Sie zum Bestätigen auf "Ja".
Klicken Sie nach dem Installieren der Software zum Fortsetzen auf "OK". Die
Installation ist abgeschlossen.
Doppelklicken Sie auf das Element im Menü, das Sie starten möchten.
Zu Beginn der Verwendung setzt das System die Formatierung des WD
PiDrive-Geräts im Hintergrund fort. Dabei blinkt die LED des WD PiDrive-Geräts
konstant. Dies ist normal.
