General Notes
Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by an approved technician. In addition
to the national legal requirements (in Germany: VDE 0100, DIN 1988 and DIN 44531), the
requirements of the local electricity and water companies must also be observed.
No modifications must be made to the appliance, its water connections and piping or the
electrical components.
Important: No fittings which restrict the flow of water such as hoses, diffusers and the
like may be attached to the water outlet.

Preparing for Installation (Fig. 3)
The overflow pipe is integrated in the swivel spout. This means that the swivel spout (Fig. 1,
:), can reach temperatures of up to 100 °C. The water boiler must therefore be installed in
such a way that this component can not be touched accidentally.
When the water boils, steam escapes from the swivel spout!
For installation of the appliance, there must be a water connection with a ½" internal thread,
a 60° chamfer and a thread length of at least 15 mm (Figs. 3 and 4). There must also be a
properly fitted earthed power socket (Fig. 1). The power socket used must be of the correct
safety rating (IP 44).
