You have purchased a fence energizer Lacmé. We thank you for your trust.
It
is a fencing energizer with a mixed power supply (dual). Its power can be supplied equally well by :
- a 12 V wet cell battery (lead, in a suitable format)
- a 12 V wet cell battery (lead, in a suitable format) and the mains adaptor (optional)
- the mains adaptor (optional) exclusively supplied by LACME.
Different power levels and options depending on the model are described in this notice.
Only the mains adaptor exclusively supplied by LACME is optionally allowed on this energizer.
For safety reasons, this energizer must never be connected to any other mains adaptor. The mains adaptor supplied by LACME must not be
used on an energizer from another manufacturer, or on any old/other LACME model not designed for this purpose (if in doubt, refer to the
guide provided with your energizer).
The technology called "low impedance" allows the fence to remain effective even if losses occur grass touching the wire, broken insulators...).
This energizer conforms to International Safety Standards and is approved by the French Ministry of Agriculture. It is supplied with a high
voltage wire connection and two small earth/grounds rod connexion. Ground stakes must be added for less conducive ground.
FUNCTIONS :
SECUR 100, 130, 200, 300
A power output control adjusts the output power according to requirements (depending on the type of animal, length of the fencing,
insulation, humidity, etc.), and in particular enables power consumption to be reduced as soon as the animal training stage is completed.
Each of the ten graduations represents approximately 10% of the energy range that is covered by the power output control.
On the front panel, a multifunction check LED indicates correct operation during each pulse.
This 3-colour indicator light (green, orange, red) is also used to visually check the discharge status of the power supply (press briefly),
except Dual D1.T esting can also be undertaken at a close distance with a BIP CONTROL pocket tester.
Always recharge a wet cell battery that is in the red zone as soon as possible. For a battery, the exchange can wait until it is fully discharged.
An additional and economical operating mode "ECO 1/5",
will flicker briefly on the display lamp in order to confirm this mode change. From this moment on, the energizer will repeat a 5 pulse cycle :
the power of the first pulse is determined by the output control (green display light), the remaining four pulses are of a reduced power level
(orange display light). To return to the 'normal' operational mode, either repeat this same process or switch the device off.
When the power supplied to the energizer becomes too low, ACCU PROTECT automatically switches the device into ECO 1/5 mode.
FUNCTIONS :
SECUR 500
The CONTROLLER is used to set the device's operating mode to I-PULSE mode or STANDARD mode. In both modes, the required output
power can be adjusted (animal type, length of fencing, insulation, moisture, etc.), particularly to reduce energy consumption once animal
training is completed. The scale corresponds to the output power. The output voltage remains the same, regardless of the output power.
Between the two modes, there is an active Fencing Loss Test. (See Fencing Loss Test.)
In I-PULSE MODE : The maximum power is sent only when an animal touches the fencing. A tiny pulse with very low power is continually
sent through in order to detect contact.
Energy consumption is much lower in this mode because only the small pulse is active most of the time. For I-PULSE mode to work, it must
have sufficient grounding and there must be relatively little vegetation touching the fence. (See Grounding Test.)
In STANDARD MODE : The chosen power is sent with each pulse. Energy consumption can reach its maximum level.
ENERGY LOSS TEST :
When the controller is set to this, the bar graph shoes the status of vegetation on the fence.
If the green LED is lit : There is essentially no vegetation on the fence.
The orange LEDs are lit : There is starting to be a lot of vegetation.
The red LEDs are lit : The fence is deeply embedded in vegetation. The I-PULSE feature is inactive and automatically switches to
STANDARD mode. Vegetation must be cleared around the fence.
GROUNDING TEST : Use I-PULSE mode for the grounding to conduct electricity properly. Test it using the bar graph.
How to Test : Plant a ground stake a few meters from the main ground. Connect the ground stake to the end of the fence. Switch the
controller to Fencing Voltage Test. For sufficient grounding, the bar graph should be lit up to the red LED. The ideal is when all of the bar
graph's LEDs are lit.
When the battery is too low, the ACCU PROTECT technology automatically switches the device into ECO 1/5 mode.
