Starting the
transmitter
To ensure optimum transfer, place
the transmitter vertically in the
room to be monitored or mount it
at the wall by suitable mounting
material.
Connect the transmitter with the
mains (prior to connecting it with
the mains check whether the rating
date of the transmitter are in
compliance with the data of your
mains). As soon as you have
connected the transmitter with your
mains it is ready for operation.
Readiness for service is indicated by
the green LED (1).
The microphone response sensitivity
can be set according to your
individual wishes at the "
EMPFIND-
" controller (2) which is
LICHKEIT
provided at the right side of the
transmitter. The higher the
sensitivity set the earlier the
transmitter starts transmitting.
One of the two transfer channels is
selected at the channel selector (3)
at the right side. In the "
"
KANAL 1
position, the unit transmits at
channel 1 and in the "
"
KANAL 2
position at channel 2.

As soon as the transmitter identifies
a noise, the red LED (4) lights up for
the period of transfer. For safety
reasons and for an optimum
transfer of noise we recommend to
keep a distance of at least 1m
between transmitter and baby.
The front of the unit should be
directed to the person to be
monitored (e. g. your baby), if
possible. In addition note that the
noise and/or sound is not
interrupted by obstacles.
Starting the receiver
Place the receiver in the room
where you are staying or mount it
at the wall using suitable mounting
material.
You can operate the receiver either
with the enclosed mains adapter or
four AAA sized batteries (batteries/
accumulators). For operation by
batteries, please insert four AAA
batteries (not included in scope of
supply) into the battery
compartment as described in
"
". For mains
BATTERY CHANGE
operation connect the mains
adapter to jack (5) of the receiver.
Select the transfer channel (1 or 2)
at the channel selector (6).
Basically, transmitter and receiver
must be set to the same channel (1
or 2) for operation. The unit is
switched on by turning the volume
controller (7) downwards. On
switching on, the green LED (8)
lights up and indicates readiness for
operation. The volume can be set as
desired by turning the volume
controller (7). If the transmitter
transfers a signal, the red receiver
indicator (9) lights up during the
whole period of transfer. As soon as
the transmitters ceases transmission,
the LED (9) extinguishes.
Particular features
• A LED chain (10) is provided at
the front left side of the receiver.
As soon as a noise is transferred,
you cannot only hear this noise
but it is also indicated visually at
the LED chain. The stronger the
noise received the more diodes
light up.
• You can fix the receiver at the
belt by the belt clip (11) or mount
at the wall using the suspension
unit (12) or you place it simply
onto the table.
Check for proper
functioning
It is very important to check the
baby monitoring unit for proper
functioning prior to the first use.
To do so, place the transmitter into
the desired room and switch on, for
instance a radio to room volume.
Then set the transmitter to the
desired response sensitivity at the
"
" controller (2).
EMPFINDLICHKEIT
Finally take the receiver and go
through your rooms and set the
desired volume.
Battery monitoring
If the voltage is no longer sufficient
in battery and/or accumulator
operation, this is indicated at the
receiver by an operating display
(LED 8) which becomes more and
more weaker.
Battery change
To insert/change the batteries/accu-
mulators open the battery
compartment (13) at the rear of the
receiver. Open the battery
compartment by pressing the clip
(14) together at the battery
compartment cover in the direction
