Antenna
For the best reception of FM- / VHF stations fully extend the telescopic
antenna (11). No further adjustments are needed.
For the best reception of AM- / medium wave stations a ferrite antenna is
build into the unit. Turning the unit can greatly improve the reception of
weaker stations.
Operation
Set the function switch (21) to "RADIO".
With the band selector (17) you can select the desired frequency range AM
(medium wave), FM mono (VHF stereo) or FM stereo (VHF stereo). A sta-
tion, which is received in very poor quality in stereo mode, may be received
in much better quality in mono mode. Set the band selector to the middle
"FM" position to receive in mono.
Select the desired frequency with the tuning control knob (18).
Set the desired volume with the volume control dial (20).
If you want to turn off the radio, set the function switch (21) to "OFF".

CD-Player

First Steps
Set the function switch (21) to "CD".
Open the CD door (13) and insert an audio CD into the CD compartment.
Please make sure the CD is attached properly to the retainer.
Close the CD door (13).
After the CD-player has read the directory of the CD, The number of titles
appears in the Display (6).
During replay the number of the current title appears in the display (6).
Do not rock on the unit or do not expose it to strong vibration during replay,
this may cause dropouts.
