You will find the Smartphone App in the store
selling your Smartphone operating system. Both
Android and iOS are supported at present. We
have provided a link to the Apps on our website
www.vistasmart.de (link to the specific
store). The instructions for the App and setting
up instructions for the external intercom are also
provided there.

First start-up

Do a trial run of the external intercom before
installation.
To do this, connect the power supply to the exter-
nal intercom (10a); the polarity is not important.
If available, connect a network cable to socket
(9). Your network should support DHCP to ensure
that your home network will automatically assign
an IP address to the external intercom for your
Internet connection. To use wifi, simply follow
the instructions by the App.
Installing the external intercom
The door intercom is protected from splash water
as required by IP 44 and must not be directly
exposed to rain. The system should therefore be
installed outside where it is protected (e.g. under
a porch). Failing this, construct a small protective
roof over the intercom system. Ensure that the
water drainage is not blocked to ensure that any
water inside can drain away.
Preparation
When removing the front cover, avoid damaging
the nameplates should they inadvertently fall
out. Also heed the speaker, microphone and
camera cabling attached at the front of the
enclosure.
Install the camera at a height of ca. 1.5 to 1.6
m (centre of camera). Before final installation of
the door intercom system, check that the camera
will adequately capture a visitor. If necessary,
change the installation height and location to
suit your situation.
1. Remove the two screws (8) to open the en-
closure of the outside station. The enclosure
also has tongues and grooves to connect the
upper and lower part. Gentle force is thus
needed to separate the enclosure parts.
2. Level the back of the external intercom at
your installation position (a spirit level is
useful here). Mark the four outside
drill holes.
3. Drill the holes for fastening using a 6-mm
drill bit and plug a dowel into each hole.
4. Feed the cables through the large hole of the
external intercom and fasten with 4 screws.
5. Connect the cables in accordance with the
wiring diagram.
Adapting the nameplates (Fig. 3)
The nameplate comprises two transparent plastic
parts connected by 4 small screws.
