The SKF 40-00 module transmodulates 8PSK/QPSK modulated transponders
into FM.
The quattro module features four fully independent input tuners.
The transmodulated FM output signals are routed to an RF output via
modulators.

Installation and connection
The SKF 40-00 can either be operated in a headend base unit SKS j or stand
alone k. The SAT IF signals are transmitted to the SAT IF inputs via a
multiswitch l or directly from the LNB m.
The module is supplied with power by DC patch cable via the power supply
unit.

Observe the operator's manual for the corresponding headend base unit!

Before inserting or changing a magazine, pull the mains plug of the
headend base unit from the socket! To avoid dangerous overvoltages,
the base plate must be grounded according to EN 50083-1, EN 60728-
11:2010.

Configuration
Configuration of the SKF 40-00 is done with a web browser.
Note: Always use the latest version of your web browser!
Accessing the configuration interface:
Default IP address:

Change the IP address of your PC/laptop, e.g. to 192.168.0.11.

Now enter the IP address 192.168.0.145 in the web browser.
The configuration screen is password-protected.

Enter the default password Ramsen8262.

Click the "Enter password" button and then the "Open page" button.

This will open the start page.

After the first log-on, the password should be changed.
The web interface is opened in English language by default. The desired
language can be selected in the top right corner of the screen.
Important: Closing the web browser leads to an automatic logout after
approx. 2.5 minutes.
The start page contains information on the current bit error rate (input
reception quality) and a level overview of tuner 1 to 4.
Initialization
The initialization is divided into three different configuration phases.

The satellite and transponder settings are made in phase 1.

The programms are set in phase 2.

The modulators are configured in phase 3.
