4.6 Before initial operation

WARNING! While unpacking, the packaging materials (polythene
bags, polystyrene pieces, etc.) should be kept away from children and
pets. CHOKING HAZARD! RISK OF INJURY!
 Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all packaging materials. If a safety
film is on the appliance, pull it off carefully. Dispose of the packaging as
described in chapter
 After the warming drawer has been installed and connected to the mains (even
after a power failure) the appliance carries out a display test for 10 seconds
approx. During this period the warming drawer cannot be used.
Read the complete instruction manual before you operate the appliance
for the first time. Strictly observe the safety instructions!

4.6.1 Heating of the appliance

Manufacturing residues or oil having which have remained in the appliance or
on the heating element may cause some odours and smoke emission. These are
normal operational parameters, which will disappear after a number of uses.
 Heat the appliance (empty and closed) before you use it for the first time for
daily use to remove the residues and the resulting odours. A little bit of smoke
and odour may be generated. This is normal. They are generated by the
substance, that protects your appliance against damage caused by the shipment
from the manufacturer's works.
 Wipe the appliance (inside and outside) using a damp cloth only. Then dry the
appliance using a soft cloth.
 We recommend the setting: Keeping hot dishes / foods warm
least two hours at 80
 Open the room door or a window to ensure proper ventilation.
