Instruction for use Pressure suspension pump
(Part no. 493522)
1. Initial procedure
• Fill the machine reservoir with the correct fluid.
• Turn tap ‚C' fully anti-clockwise.
• Make sure that the vehicle is on level ground with the
handbrake off.
• Remove dust cap on car hydrolastic / hydrogas connector.
• Screw the body of the low loss connector as far as possib-
le onto the displacer valve.
• Operate the pump handle to fill the plastic tube, then
close valve
• Connect the vehicle hydrolastic / hydragas fluid by tur-
ning tap ‚C' fully clockwise.
2. Raising trim height
If merely increasing trim height, open valve and pump up to
the required height / pressure.
3. Checking trim height
a) Roll the car back and forth and bounce the suspension
before checking the vehicle trim height.

b) Adjust downwards, if required, by opening the valve
to depressurise until the required height is achieved.
Increase height if required by simply pumping up again
with valve in open position. After any adjustment repeat
procedure (a).
4. Depressurise the system
Open the valve to depressurise
5. Disconnecting the machine
Turn tap ‚C' fully anti-clockwise to allow suspension valve
to seat. Open pump valve to relieve pressure in the flexible
hose, than unscrew the connector. Replace the dust cap on
the vehicle when finished.
6. Removing air from the suspension system
If for any reason there is air evident in the syste, proceed as
follows:
Pressurise the system, wait for 2 minutes, then depressu-
rice and wait another 2 minutes, then repressurise. The air
is displaced by the pumping action of the depressurising
of the hydrolastic/hydragas units. It is very rare to have to
repeat tis action more than twice. Air in the system is easily
recognised by a harsh ride. If the vehicle connector is not
the highest point in the system, e.g. Mini, place the vehicle
on a slope with the car hydrolastic/hydragas connector at
the highest point before adopting the above procedure.
Remember to use the correct fluid only.
