how to use the assignment cards so that all the children understand
how to read the cards and carry out the assignments.
All the games with the assignment cards can be played by 2 – 4
children.
Assignment cards 1
The 4 assignment cards with 1 dot are distributed. The children now
remove the houses from the box and select the 3 houses that are
shown on their assignment cards and place them on the table, in
front of them.
Taking turns, each player now places his/her three houses (going
from left to right, starting on the side with the dot = reading direction)
on the game board.
The answer, printed on the reverse side of the card, can be checked
after each turn!
When all the houses have been used, the children can check
together whether the houses are in the correct place, using the large
control card with one dot. To do this, the game board must be in the
same position as shown on the control card.
Assignment cards with 2 dots
This game is played in the same way as series 1, except that the
illustrations of the houses on the assignment cards are mixed; so no
longer small, larger, and largest. This means that the children must
look more carefully to see which house to use. The children can
constantly check their own assignments. When everyone has
finished, the total result is checked using the large control card with
2 dots.
Assignment cards with 3 dots
This series is more difficult because the symbols of the illustrations
of the board are not placed in the correct sequence on the
assignment cards. This means that the children, must look carefully
to see which sizes are involved. Moreover, the sizes of the houses
are mixed up.
