GENERAL INFORMATION, WARRANTY
ALLGEMEIN
Befüllung: Batterie und Säure müssen eine Temperatur von mindestens +10° C
haben. Batteriesäure ist stark ätzend! Deshalb die Sicherheitsvorschriften beachten.
Inbetriebnahme: Um die volle Leistung und Lebensdauer zu erreichen, muss die
Batterie vor Einbau vollständig geladen werden.
Ladung: Am besten verwenden Sie spannungsgeregelte Ladegeräte (Banner
Accugard Bike, Banner Accugard Car oder Banner Powertool). Diese Geräte führen
den Ladevorgang automatisch durch. Je nach Kapazität der Batterie können Sie
folgende Ladegeräte verwenden:
< 9 Ah – Banner Accugard Bike – Art.Nr. 1240001500
9 - 20 Ah – Banner Accugard Car – Art.Nr. 1240001600
> 20 Ah – Banner Powertool 3600 – Art.Nr. 1240003600
• Batterie aus dem Fahrzeug ausbauen bzw. unbedingt Batteriekabel abklemmen
(Minuspol zuerst abklemmen). Achtung: Ohne Stromversorgung können Daten
im Bordcomputer, Radio, ...verloren gehen!
• Zuerst das Ladegerät an die Batterie anklemmen und dann einschalten. Nach
der Ladung zuerst Ladegerät ausschalten und dann Batterie abklemmen.
• Ladestrom: max. 1/10 Ampere der Batteriekapazität.
• Bei mehr als +55° C Temperatur Ladung unterbrechen.
• Nach dem Laden Elektrolytstand kontrollieren oder nötigenfalls mit entminerali-
siertem Wasser ergänzen.
• Für gute Raumlüftung sorgen! Beim Laden entsteht explosives Knallgas.
Rauchen, offene Flammen und Funkenbildung unbedingt vermeiden!
Wartung: Führen Sie die Wartungs- und Kontrollaufgaben in ca. 3-monatlichem
Intervall durch. Batterie nie im entladenen Zustand stehen lassen. Batterie sauber
und trocken halten, auf festen Sitz der Anschlussklemmen achten und Pole ein-
fetten.
Lagerung: Bei Nichtnutzung und längerem Stillstand (Steh- oder Überwinte-
rungszeit) die Batterie ausbauen, trocken und kühl (frostfrei) lagern. Batterie unbe-
dingt an ein Ladeerhaltungsgerät anschließen (z. B. Banner Accugard Bike).
Gebrauchsanweisung: Beachten Sie bitte neben dieser Behandlungsvorschrift
unbedingt die Gebrauchsanweisungen der Hersteller von Kraftfahrzeug und
Ladegerät.
Gewährleistung: Wir liefern Banner Qualität und gewährleisten damit die Ver-
arbeitung einwandfreien Materials, technisch einwandfreie Ausführung und die
Einhaltung der DIN-Normen für Abmessung und Leistung. Sollte trotz strengster
Fertigungskontrollen ein von uns zu vertretender Mangel auftreten, werden wir
nach Überprüfung der Batterie entscheiden, ob wir diese nachbessern, umtau-
schen oder unter Berücksichtigung der Betriebszeit zurücknehmen. Weiter gehen-
de Ansprüche sind ausgeschlossen.
Der Garantieanspruch setzt voraus, dass uns das Inbetriebsetzungsdatum durch
Polstempelung, Garantiekalender oder Einkaufsquittung nachgewiesen wird und
dass uns Gelegenheit gegeben wurde, die Batterie in unserem Labor zu überprü-
fen. Normaler Verschleiß sowie Schäden, die auf nachlässige oder unsachgemäße
Behandlung oder Beanspruchung zurückzuführen sind, fallen nicht unter unsere
Garantie.
Weiters ist der Garantieanspruch nur dann gewährleistet, wenn das Kraftfahrzeug
bei Nichtnutzung (Steh- oder Überwinterungszeit) konstant an ein Ladeerhal-
tungsgerät (z. B. Banner Accugard Bike) angeschlossen ist. Ein Nachweis über diese
Ladeerhaltung ist vom Nutzer zu erbringen.
Unsere Haftung entfällt auch, falls der Kunde oder Dritte an von uns gelieferten
Batterien Änderungen oder unsachgemäße Instandsetzungen vornehmen.
Sicherheitsvorschriften:
Batteriesäure ist stark ätzend
- Bei Berührung mit den Augen gründlich mit Wasser spülen und Arzt konsultieren.
- Säurespritzer: Behandlung mit Neutralonspray oder Seifenlauge, mit viel Wasser
nachspülen und trocken wischen.
- Säure bzw. Batterien mit Säurefüllung dürfen nicht in die Hände von Kindern
gelangen.
- Säurebehälter mit Restsäure zur Problemstoff-Sammelstelle bringen. Restsäure
darf nicht in die Kanalisation gelangen. Leere Säurebehälter als Kunststoff-
Hausmüll entsorgen.
Ladegase sind explosiv
- Zündung vermeiden, nicht rauchen, kein offenes Feuer, Funkenbildung beim
Umgang mit Kabeln und elektrischen Geräten vermeiden.
- Vor dem Ein- oder Ausbau der Batterie alle schaltbaren Stromverbraucher
ausschalten, damit eine versehentliche Funkenbildung ausgeschlossen ist.
- Beim Lösen der Anschlüsse zuerst das Massekabel (Verbindung mit dem Fahr-
zeugrahmen) abnehmen. Beim Anschließen ist diese Verbindung als
letzte herzustellen (Kurzschlüsse durch Werkzeug vermeiden).
- Beim Laden erst Batterie an Ladegerät anschließen, dann Ladegerät einschalten.
- Bei Ladung in geschlossenen Räumen für gute Belüftung sorgen.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Filling. The battery and the acid must have a temperature of at least +10°C. Battery
acid is extremely caustic and therefore safety instructions must be observed.
Commissioning. In order to achieve full performance and service life, the battery
must be fully charged prior to installation.
Charging. The best solution is to use a voltage-regulated charger (Banner Accu-
gard Bike, Banner Accugard Car or Banner Powertool). These devices complete the
charging process automatically and can be used in line with battery capacity:

• Remove the battery from the vehicle and always detach the battery cable (dis-
connect the negative terminal first). Warning! Without a supply of electricity,
data in the vehicle computer, radio, etc. can be lost!
• First connect the charger to the battery and then switch on. After charging
switch off the charger first and then detach the battery.
• Charging current: max. 1/10 Ampere of battery capacity.
• Interrupt charging if the temperature exceeds +55° C.
• Following charging, check the electrolyte level and if necessary top up with de-
mineralised water.
• Ensure good room ventilation! Explosive detonating gas is created during char-
ging. The danger from smoking, open flames and sparks must be excluded!
Maintenance. Complete maintenance and checks at intervals of around three
months. Never allow the battery to stand in a discharged condition. Keep the bat-
tery clean and dry, make sure that the terminals are attached securely and degre-
ase the terminals.
Storage. In the case of non-use and prolonged standstills (mothballing or winter
storage), remove the battery and keep it in a dry and cool place. It is imperative that
the battery be connected to a charge retention device (e.g. Banner Accugard Bike).
Instructions for use. Apart from these handling instructions, the instructions for
use provided by the manufacturers of the vehicle and the charger must be strictly
followed.
Warranty. We supply Banner quality and thus guarantee manufacture with per-
fect materials, technically flawless production and adherence to the DIN standards
with regard to dimensions and performance. If in spite of stringent quality checks,
a defect should occur for which we are responsible, following examination of the
battery, we will decide whether to repair, exchange, or depending on the period of
use, retain the product. Other, more extensive claims are excluded.
Preconditions for a warranty claim are the provision of evidence of the commis-
sioning date by means of a terminal stamp, a guarantee calendar, or a purchase
receipt, and that we are offered an opportunity to examine the battery in our la-
boratory. Normal wear and tear, damage that can be traced to careless or incorrect
handling, or excessive burdens on the battery are precluded from our warranty.
In addition, a warranty claim can only be granted when in the case of non-use
(mothballing or winter storage) the battery was constantly connected to a charge
retention device (e.g. Banner Accugard Bike). Proof of charge retention must be
provided by the user.
The Banner warranty also lapses should the customer or a third party undertake
modifications or incorrect maintenance on a battery supplied.
Safety regulations.
Battery acid is extremely caustic
- In the case of contact with the eyes, rinse them out thoroughly with water and
consult a doctor.
- Acid splashes. Treat with a neutralon spray or suds, rinse with plenty of water and
wipe dry.
- Acid or batteries with an acid filling should not get into the hands of children.
- The acid container (with possible acid residues) should be brought to a hazar-
dous waste collection point. Acid residues may not enter the sewerage system.
Empty acid containers should be disposed of as domestic plastic waste.
Charging gases are explosive
- Avoid ignition, do not smoke or use open flames and prevent sparking during
the handling of cables and electrical appliances.
- All electrical devices with switches should be turned off prior to battery installa-
tion or removal, in order to prevent accidental sparking.
- When releasing the connections, first detach the mass cable (link with the vehic-
le frame). During connection this is the last cable to be attached (avoid short
circuits due to tools).
- During charging, first attach the battery to the charger and then switch on the
charger.
- Ensure good ventilation during charging in closed rooms.
