Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt dient zur Kühlung einer CPU vom Typ INTEL ® Pentium 4 und Celeron (Sockel 478).
Eine andere als die zuvor beschriebene Verwendung ist verboten. Sie kann das Gerät beschädigen und
ist überdies mit Risiken wie Kurzschluss, Brand, elektrischer Stromschlag, usw. verbunden. Das gesamte
Gerät darf nicht verändert oder umgebaut werden. Die Sicherheitshinweise in dieser Bedienungsanleitung
sind unbedingt zu beachten. Bitte lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie
diese für spätere Rückfragen gut auf.
Bei sämtlichen in diesem Dokument aufgeführten Firmen- und Produktnamen handelt es sich um

verursacht werden, übernehmen wir keine Haftung!
Wichtige Hinweise, die
Bedienungsanleitung durch das Ausrufezeichen gekennzeichnet.
• Das Gerät darf nicht verändert oder umgebaut werden, sonst erlischt nicht nur die Zulassung (CE),
sondern auch die Garantie/Gewährleistung.
• Bei fehlenden Fachkenntnissen für die Installation eines CPU-Kühlers veranlassen Sie bitte den
Einbau durch einen Fachmann bzw. eine entsprechend qualifizierte Firma.
• Dieses Gerät ist kein Spielzeug und sollte außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Die Wärmeleitpaste auf dem Einbauteil ist gesundheitsschädlich (vermeiden Sie Augen-/Mundkontakt
mit der Wärmeleitpaste).
• Nach Hautkontakt mit der wärmeableitenden Paste kann diese mit einem trockenen Tuch abgerieben
werden. Die betroffene Stelle danach gründlich mit warmem Wasser und Seife reinigen. Bei
Augenkontakt spülen Sie das betroffene Auge umgehend mit warmem Wasser aus. Begeben Sie sich
sodann umgehend in ärztliche Behandlung.
• Greifen Sie niemals in den rotierenden Lüfter: hohe Verletzungsgefahr! Beeinträchtigen Sie nicht den
ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Lüfters (etwa durch Einführen eines Fremdobjekts).
• Wenden Sie sich zu Fragen, die nicht in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beantwortet werden, an unseren
Technischen Kundendienst oder andere Fachleute.
Einbau
Schalten Sie Ihren Computer aus und ziehen Sie das Netzkabel aus der Netzsteckdose!
Für Schäden an CPUs mit abgebrochenen Pins oder Hauptplatinen mit tiefen Kratzern
neben dem CPU-Sockel wird keine Gewährleistung oder Garantie übernommen!
Wenden Sie während der Installation bei der Benutzung von Werkzeugen wie
Schraubenziehern die nötige Sorgfalt an.
A) Ausbau bestehender CPU-Lüfter
1. Öffnen Sie das PC-Gehäuse, entfernen Sie das Mainboard und nehmen Sie den alten CPU-Lüfter
sorgsam heraus.
2. Entfernen Sie jegliche Reste an Wärmeleitpaste von der Oberfläche der CPU. Verwenden Sie dazu
nur einen weichen Gegenstand und wenden Sie größte Sorgfalt an, da die CPU andernfalls nachhaltig
beschädigt werden kann!
B) Neuinstallation
1. Beim Zusammenbau eines neuen Computers stellen Sie zunächst den Hebel des CPU-Sockels in vertikale
Position, setzen Sie die CPU ordnungsgemäß ein und schließen dann den Hebel des CPU-Sockels wieder.
2. Legen Sie das Mainboard auf eine flache, glatte Oberfläche. Zum Schutz der Oberfläche (zum Beispiel
Schreibtisch) können Sie ein Stück Pappe zwischen Oberfläche und Mainboard platzieren.
3. Entfernen Sie nun die transparente Schutzabdeckung auf der Unterseite des Kühlkörpers.
4. Bringen Sie eine dünne Schicht Wärmeleitpaste auf die CPU auf, etwa 0,1 mm bis 0,2 mm genügen.
Verstreichen Sie die Wärmeleitpaste auf der gesamten oberen Metallfläche, z.B. mit einem kleinen
Stück Karton.
5. Setzen sie nun den Kühler auf die CPU. Hängen sie die Halteclips ohne Hebel in die zugehörigen
Öffnungen auf dem Halterahmen des Mainboards ein.
6. Anschließend hängen Sie den Halteclip mit Hebel auf der anderen Seite des Halterahmens ein (ggf.
Hebel in die andere Position bringen, damit sich der Halteclip einhängen lässt).
7. Stecken Sie den 3-poligen Stecker in den CPU-Lüfteranschluss auf dem Mainboard. Die exakte
Position des Anschlusses entnehmen Sie der Bedienungsanleitung für das Mainboard. Der Anschluss
ist z.B. mit "CPUFAN1" o.ä. bezeichnet.
8. Sichern Sie sämtliche Kabel mittels Kabelbindern, sodass diese nicht in den der Lüfter gelangen können.
9. Installieren Sie das Mainboard im PC-Gehäuse. Halten Sie das Mainboard nicht am CPU-Lüfter fest.
10. Verschließen Sie das Computergehäuse und verbinden Sie den Computer wieder mit der
Netzspannung.

Intended use
This product is intended for cooling a CPU type INTEL ® Pentium 4 and Celeron (Socket 478).
Any usage other than specified in the operating instructions is not permitted. Violation of usage can
damage the device and lead to hazards such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the device
may be modified or rebuilt. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep the operating
instructions for further reference.

to be carried out by a specialist or a suitable specialist workshop.
• The device is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children. The heat-conductive paste applied to
the device is hazardous to health (avoid mouth/eye contact with heat-conductive paste).
• If skin should come into contact with heat-conductive paste, it can be wiped off with a dry cloth. Then
clean the area thoroughly with warm water and soap. In the event of contact with the eyes, flood the
affected eye immediately with warm water. Then consult a doctor without delay.
• Never reach into the rotating fan: high risk of injury! Never interfere with the operation of the fan (by
inserting objects etc.).
• If any questions arise that are not answered in this operating manual, contact our Technical Advisory
Service or other experts.
Installation
Switch off your computer and disconnect it from the mains outlet; detach the mains
plug! Permanent damaged CPUs with broken-off pins or motherboards with deep
scratches alongside the CPU base are not covered by the warranty or guarantee!
Be cautious when using tools, such as screwdriver, for installation. Scratches and
other damage to the motherboard are not covered by the warranty or guarantee.
A) Removing existing CPU cooler
1. Open the computer housing, remove the motherboard and extract the old CPU cooler carefully.
2. Remove any existing remnants of heat-conductive paste or heat-conductive foil completely from the
surface of the CPU. For this, use a soft object only and be very cautious as otherwise the CPU may
be permanently damaged!
B) New Installation
1. When assembling a new computer, put the lever of the ZIF socket into the vertical position, insert the
CPU correctly (and carefully) and close the ZIF socket again.
2. Position the motherboard on a smooth, flat service. To protect the surface (e.g. writing-desk), insert a
piece of cardboard between the motherboard and surface.
3. Now remove the transparent protective cover of the heat sink's underside.
4. Apply a thin layer of heat transfer compound onto the CPU, about 0.1mm to 0.2mm are sufficient. Spread
the heat transfer compound over the entire top metal surface, eg with a little piece of cardboard.
5. Place the CPU cooler onto the CPU. Fit in the clip hooks without the lever into the corresponding holes
on the holding frame of the mainboard.
6. Afterwards, fit the clip hooks with the lever onto the other side of the holding frame (if need be, place
lever into a different position, so that the holding clip can be hooked in).
7. Connect the 3-pin plug to the CPU fan connection on the motherboard. For the exact position of the
connection, please refer to the operating instructions for the motherboard. The connection may be
labelled "CPUFAN1" or similar.
8. Secure all cables by means of one or several cable ties so that they cannot become entangled in one
of the computer's fans.
9. Install the motherboard in the computer housing. Do not hold the motherboard by the CPU cooler.
10. Close the computer housing again and connect the computer to the mains supply.
