Safety instructions

First, read the complete operating instructions carefully, as they contain
important information about the proper operation.
Damage due to not following these operating instructions will void the
warranty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages
caused by the improper use or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions! In such cases, the warranty will be null and void!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification of
the product is not permitted.
• The power supply unit has been built according to Protection Class II and
may only be operated on a public power supply outlet.
• Never touch the power supply unit with wet or damp hands. There is dan-
ger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never replace a damaged connection cable of the power adapter. If the
connecting cable is damaged, the power adapter is waste and must be
disposed of. Repairs are not acceptable.
• To disconnect the device completely from the mains, the mains plug has to
be removed from the mains socket.
• The manufacturers' safety instructions for the devices to be connected
must also be observed. Please read other relevant operating instructions
carefully.
• Do not use the product, if it is damaged.
• This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Children cannot comprehend the dangers associated with electrical de-
vices.
• The device may not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions, high humidity (e.g. droplets or splashes of water) or substantial me-
chanical stress.
• Never pour out any liquids above electrical devices. Do not place any
containers with liquids, such as buckets, vases or plants, in the imme-
diate proximity of the product. Liquids could get inside the device and
thus impair electrical safety. There is danger of fire or a life-threatening
electric shock! If liquid is spilled into the unit, switch off the respective
mains socket (e.g. residual current circuit breaker) and unplug the power
adapter from the socket. The product may not be operated any longer.
Take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or near the device.

Placing on a surface
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the
housing when mounting the miniature DVB-T antenna, as doing so could
damage it.
When setting up the antenna, make sure that it has a secure footing and is
on a stable surface, as people could be injured if the device is dropped.
Avoid placing the miniature DVB-T antenna close to devices emitting inter-
ference (e.g. microwave ovens, mobile phones, powerful engines, etc.).
You should also not install the device close to large metal surfaces, because
these may significantly weaken the received signal.
Place the antenna at the highest possible location, since experience shows
that this is where the reception is the best. Installing it close to a window
may also improve reception.
• Plug the two stand clamps into the two bore holes on the back of the miniature DVB-
T antenna.
• Set up the antenna horizontally or vertically.
• Extend the telescope antenna to its maximum length.
• If the reception is not satisfactory after connection and commissioning, change the
direction of the telescope rod or the location or direction of the antenna to achieve
the best possible reception.
Connection
The antenna cable of the antenna may be connected only to the antenna
inputs of the corresponding receivers.
If you power the device via the power pack unit, you may only use the en-
closed power pack unit.
Connect the voltage source only to a normal mains socket connected to the
public supply.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage may cause fatal electric shocks.
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the power adapter corresponds
with the mains voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the pow-
er supply on a different voltage.
When making the connections, make sure that the connecting cables can-
not be pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be near
the device and easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly isolated
from the mains power supply in the event of any fault.
