Putting-into-operation
Before putting the device into operation, please read
the complete operating instructions thoroughly in or-
der to ensure proper functioning of the device!
Installation
When choosing an installation location for your de-
vice, avoid proximity to direct sunlight, vibration,
dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Fur-
thermore, no powerful transformers or motors must
be set up close to the device.
When placing the product, make sure the power cord
is neither jammed nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Choose an installation location not far from the wall outlet.
• Place the device on an even surface.
Because of variety of used lacquers and polishes for
furniture it can happen that the device base, caused
by a chemical reaction, could leave residua on furnitu-
re. That's why do not place the device without appro-
priate protection on the valuable furniture surfaces.

Record function
The cassette player can record in two different ways: either radio si-
gnals or via the built-in microphone.
The recording level of the device is set automatically.
• Turn the function switch (3) to the desired position:

Position RADIO
à
Microphone record
Position POWER OFF/TAPE
• Press the STOP/EJ (4) button. The cassette compartment (10)
opens.
• Insert a blank cassette (with the tape opening facing up and the
empty tape reel to the left). Then close the cassette compartment
(10).
• Press the button PAUSE (4).
• Press the button RECORD (4). While pressing the RECORD but-
ton, the PLAY (4) button will latch automatically.
• By pressing the PAUSE (4) button again the device starts recor-
ding.
• To stop recording, press the PAUSE (4) button and then the STOP
(4) button.
• The recording stops automatically at the end of the side being
recorded (Auto stop function).
