To avoid serious eye injuries never look directly into outputs of test equipment,
patchcords or testjumpers.
> Never look directly into the optical port when the unit is powered up.
> Always put the dust caps to the optical ports, when the unit is not in use.
> Always avoid looking directly at the unconnected end of an optical fiber.
> Make an unconnected end of optical fiber pointing to a non-reflective surface to aviod eye
injuries by laser reflection.
KEYPAD FUNCTIONS

Power ON/OFF button. At default settings („Auto Off" is displayed) the unit will
power off automatically after 5 min non-use to save battery power. Pressing the
button again, this function will be turned off ("Auto Off" is no longer displayed)
[µW/dBm] Option key for the display of the level value. Press the button to display the
level output value in output power (dBm) or microwatts (µW). The set value is
now displayed in the desired value in the LCD display
[CW/MOD] This key selects the signal type. OLS150 provides two types of signal. The standard
signal is continuous wave (CW) for measurement. The modulated frequency (MOD)
is used mainly for identification of optical fiber. The selected signal type is shown on
display.
[λ] Pressing this key will select the required, calibrated wavelength according to
the optical fiber. The selected wavelength will be displayed.
[ Ext. P ower Indicator] The external power indicator LED is lit when an external AC
power adapter is connected.
