11. Operation
Only use the device to prepare and chop soft food or liquids. Never process too-hard foods,
other substances or other materials than indicated.
The device may cause injury if not used as described here.
Never reach into the blade or near the blade when the mains plug is plugged into the mains
socket.
Never touch the blade when operating the device and do not insert any objects into the blen-
ding container, to avoid injuries/damage.
Never switch the device on without the correctly inserted shaft (4). Ensure that the shaft (4) is
always latched correctly before activating the device.
Never remove the shaft (4) in operation. Wait until the blade has stopped and pull the mains
plug first.
Never overfill the blending container used because the material to be blended may run over in
operation otherwise.
If the blade is blocked in operation, switch it off at once and pull the mains plug from the mains
socket before removing the block.
When processing hot foods, there is the risk of scalding. Only foods up to a temperature of 60 °C
must be processed. Never process hot fat, hot oil or meat.
Do not operate the device without interruption for more than 30 seconds. Then let the device
cool of for approx. 2 minutes to avoid overheating. After 5 work cycles at max. 30 seconds, the
device must cool off to room temperature before further use.
Disconnect the device from the mains before replacing accessories or additions.
• Put the material to be blended into a suitable blending container.
• Adjust the desired speed with the speed controller (1) (Min = lowest speed, Max = maximum speed). The
required speed depends on the consistency of the material to be blended. Use low speeds for soft/liquid
foods and high speeds for more solid foods.
• Hold the device firmly and safely in your hand.
• Submerse the immersion blender into the material to be blended.
• Switch the device on by pushing the on-off switch (2).
• Move the immersion blender up and down in circles to process the material to be blended evenly. How-
ever, do not fully pull the blade head from the material to be blended to keep from splashing it around.
• Switch the device off after operation by releasing the on-off switch (2).
• Then pull the mains plug from the mains socket and clean the device as described in "cleaning".
