PSP™ Slim Video Station

Intended Use
This video station is intended for use with PSP Slim™, and features component and composite
AV outputs and, thus, enables the playback of games, videos, photos and music on a TV.
The remote control provided enables the convenient operation and control of your PSP™.
The video station and the remote control are only suitable for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. The safety instruction must be followed at all times.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
The safety instructions are to be observed without fail!
Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of electric
shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling,
operation and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The video station and the remote control must not be modified or converted,
as not only the CE approval will become void but also the warranty.
• Do not touch leaking or oxidised batteries with your bare hands. Use pro-
tective gloves.
• In order to be able to recharge the PSP™ Slim with this video station, it is
necessary to connect the original power supply unit, which is contained in
the original packaging of your PSP™, to the video station.
• The video station and the remote control must not be exposed to extreme
temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, humidity or heavy
mechanical stress.
• After a rapid change in temperature, the video station and the remote con-
trol require some time to adjust to the new ambient temperature. Wait until
the charging station and the power supply unit have adjusted to the ambient
temperature, before use.
• The video station and the remote control are not toys and should be kept
out of the reach of children!
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure about the safety or the
correct use of the product.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic film/
bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of
suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not function any longer and
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time
or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The video station and the remote control are only suitable for use in dry
indoor locations.
• Ensure that no sources of magnetism or electromagnetism or heat sources
are in the vicinity of the product.

Notes on Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay
attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by chil-
dren or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns on contact
with the skin, if suitable protective gloves are not used.
• Make sure that the batteries/accumulators are not short-circuited, taken to pieces or thrown
into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the batteries or rechargeable
batteries. Old batteries may leak and cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss
of the warranty/guarantee!
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter „Disposal".
Recharging the PSP™
In order to be able to recharge the PSP™ Slim with this video station, it is necessary to connect
the original power supply unit, which is contained in the original packaging of your PSP™, to the
video station. To do this, there is a „DC IN 5V" connection on the rear of the video station.
Connecting the PSP™
The video station has 6 connectors.
Component connections
The component connections have the following colours: green, blue, red, white, red.
AV connections
The AV connections have the following colours: yellow (video signal), white (audio left), red
(audio right)
Inserting the Batteries in the Remote Control
• Pull the battery compartment out, which is on the rear,by moving it downwards, while keeping
the locking clip of the battery compartment pressed down with a finger nail.
• Insert a 3V coin cell in the battery compartment's support, pay attention to the correct polarity
(Type: CR2032).
• Place the support from the battery compartment, including the inserted battery, back into the
remote control.
Description of the Remote Control's Functions
The remote control provided has the following functions: Playback/Pause, PREV (back), NEXT
(forward), VOL- (decrease volume), VOL+ (increase volume.
Maintenance and Cleaning
There are no parts of the system components that require maintenance. Therefore, never open
the charging station or the power supply unit.
To clean the charging station, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Clean the charging station very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents.
• Do not expose the product to any mechanical stress. Falls from low heights
and pressure can damage the device.
• Never pour fluids out above electrical devices.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or another specialist.
On the rear there is a switch „AV/COMP". Move the slide switch to the
required position as desired. Position AV = picture and audio playback via AV
connections, position COMP = picture and audio playback via component
connections.
Press and hold the „PREV" button down, or the „NEXT" e.g. to forward or
rewind a music track.
The video station has a slot on the right side, where the remote control can
be placed when it is not in use.
