Operation

Ensure that the connection specifications for your devices comply with the
connection data for the product (see technical data).
Always read the operating instructions for the device that you are going to
charge.
Do not short-circuit the USB ports.
a) Connecting and using the USB charger (item no. 1620609)
• Insert the connector on the adapter into the power-in socket (3) on the USB charger. For
safety reasons, the output plug cannot be inserted in reverse polarity. The inner contact is
positive ("+") and the outer contact is negative ("–").
• Plug the adapter into a standard mains socket. The LED power indicator (4) will turn on.
• Connect the micro USB plug on the USB cable to your mobile device.
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port (2) on the USB charger.
• Press the on/off switch (5) on the USB port to start charging the device. The USB output port
will start to deliver a current and the corresponding function LED (1) will turn green.
The USB charger comes with a smart control feature that automatically adjusts the
charging current and specifications for the connected device.
• When the connected devices have finished charging, turn off the corresponding ports using
the on/off switch (5). Disconnect the USB cable and unplug the adapter from the mains
socket.
• Monitor the charging process. Use the on/off switch (5) to pause or end charging.
• Alternatively, you can also stop the charging process by disconnecting the USB cable(s) from
the USB charger and the mobile device(s).
• When the device has finished charging, disconnect the USB cable from the product and the
connected device.
It is recommended to switch off USB ports that are not in use (use the on/off
switch (5)).
b) Connecting and using the USB charger (item no. 1665144)
The LED power indicator (4) will turn on
together with all of the functions LEDs (1).
• Connect the micro USB plug on the USB cable to your mobile device.
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable USB port (2) on the USB charger.
Charging will start immediately after the USB cable is connected and the USB charger starts
to deliver a current.
The USB charger comes with a smart control feature that automatically adjusts the
charging current and specifications for the connected device.
• When the devices have finished charging, disconnect the USB cable and unplug the adapter
from the mains socket.
• Monitor the charging process of your mobile devices. To stop the charging process,
disconnect the USB cable(s) from the USB charger and the mobile device(s).
• When the device has finished charging, disconnect the USB cable from the product and the
connected device.
Refer to the technical data of the mobile device that you are going to charge and
note output power of the corresponding port. You can connect up to four mobile
devices to the USB port, which are charged with the total available power.
c) Capacity of the USB ports
• A charging output can deliver a maximum current of 2.4 A at an output voltage of 5 V/DC.
The total maximum output current of all the ports is 7 A.
d) Short circuit and overload protection
• All four ports feature built-in short circuit and overload protection. For safety reasons, the
device switches off automatically in the event of an overload and the LED switches off.
• Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to reset the device.

Care and cleaning

• Before cleaning the product, switch it off and disconnect it from the mains.
• Before cleaning the product, unplug the USB cable and disconnect any connected mobile
devices from the power supply.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• This product does not contain any components that require maintenance. Never attempt to
open or disassemble it.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the housing, as
this can lead to scratch marks.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-haired brush.
