Filling the container
The fuel container holds 1 l. At one end of the container's mouth there is a widened section
to facilitate fi lling.
Filling level
The container must be fi lled to above the hole marks, to the fi lling level shown
in the picture. The container can only be fi lled when the fi replace has cooled to room
temperature. Filling a hot or burning fi replace creates a risk of explosion.
If you spill fuel outside the container when fi lling it, all the excess fuel must be
dried before lighting the fi replace. Spilled fuel also ignites easily.
Lighting and extinguishing
The fi replace can only be lit if the container is fi lled in accordance with the
instructions. The fi replace can only be lit when it has cooled to room tem-
perature.
Light the fi replace using a match or a lighter by placing the burning fl ame close to the
fl uid level. The ethanol that has evaporated from the surface will light with a fl ash. To
begin with, the fl ame will be almost imperceptibly small, but after a few minutes the
fl ame get larger once the fi replace has heated up. The fi replace will go out once the
container is empty of fuel. 1 litre of ethanol burns for about 3 ½ hours. The fl ame can
be extinguished using the extinguishing lid that comes with the fi replace by placing the
lid over the fl ame. We recommend letting the container use up all the fuel every time it
is used because the remaining fuel evaporates easily at room temperature.
Care and cleaning
The fi replace's glass and metal parts can be cleaned with a general detergent.
