Mounting the Loudspeakers

The loudspeaker has been tested for environmental usage and is deemed
weather resistant, but not waterproof. Occasional moisture will not affect the
performance. The loudspeakers should always be allowed to ventilate and dry
after water exposure.
The loudspeakers can be placed permanently outdoors for year-round
enjoyment. To maximize the loudspeaker life, position in areas protected from
the elements, such as the underside of eaves or overhangs. Popular locations
include decks, gazebos, porches, atriums, garages and covered spa areas.
For temporary placement, remove the loudspeaker from the mounting
brackets and replace the thumb screws to maintain stability if placing the
loudspeakers on end.
Each loudspeaker has a rainbow logo that can be rotated. The logo is located
on the face of the grille and comes positioned for vertical installation. If
mounting the loudspeakers horizontally, we recommend rotating the logo
accordingly.
The logo is spring-loaded. To rotate, elevate both ends equally by placing
your fingernail under and lifting lightly. While the logo is elevated, turn the logo
to the desired orientation and release.
For ease of installation, we have included an easily removable mounting
bracket. Once mounted, the bracket allows the loudspeaker to be angled to its
ideal position. The included thumb screws will hold the selected loudspeaker
position when properly tightened.
Before attempting the installation, carefully evaluate the mounting surface to
ensure that its composition and construction are capable of safely supporting
the weight of the loudspeakers. If you are unsure about the type of mounting
hardware to use, consult a professional contractor or a knowledgeable
hardware store.

Connecting the Loudspeakers

We recommend the use of two conductor 1,0 – 2,5 mm² (18 to 13-gauge) loudspeaker wire to connect
the loudspeaker to your receiver. When connecting the loudspeakers in a stereo configuration, the wire
length should be similar. One length should not be dramatically longer or shorter than the other.
Maintaining similar wire lengths will provide superior sound quality.
Loudspeaker wire polarity is indicated by either a color stripe on the insulation, ridges molded into one
side of the insulation, the color of the insulation case around the wire or by the color of the wire itself
(copper or silver).
Connect loudspeaker wire using the positive (+) terminal on the receiver to the positive (+) loudspeaker
terminal, and the negative (-) terminal on the receiver to the negative (-) loudspeaker terminal.
All loudspeakers in a system must be connected with the same relative polarity.
