The following is required:
1 small Phillips screwdriver / 1 small flathead screwdriver / 1 small
pair of pliers.
1. Disconnect the device from the mains power supply.

2. Use the on / off switch (7) to switch on the shaver and let it run
until the battery is empty.
NOTE: The battery contains a certain amount of residual electricity
even after being completely discharged. Repeatedly switching the
shaver on and letting the motor run empties the battery of this resid-
ual electricity.
3. Use the flathead screwdriver as a lever to lift off the black cover
on the rear of the shaver.
4. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the six screws inside of the
housing to pry apart the upper and lower halves.
5. Press apart the two halves of the housing.
6. Remove the battery and use side cutters to cut apart both solder-
ing tags on the battery.
7. All components can now be disposed of properly in accordance
with environmental rules and regulations (→ 11. Disposal).
The nickel-metal hydride battery used for this device may
not be treated as household waste. The battery must be dis-
posed of properly. Contact battery distributors or local waste
NiMH disposal points for this.


As a matter of course, this article is provided with the statutory war-
ranty period of two years.
In terms of the warranty handling, please consult the seller of the
goods.
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, a defect exists if
it can be attributed to material, processing or construction defects.
Excluded are damages resulting from natural wear and tear, wrong
care or improper use.
