Never operate the appliance on or near heat-sensitive objects (3.)

The unit must be used with a grounded power supply (230 V /

50 Hz) featuring a 10 A fuse (6.).
Always pull on the plug, not the mains cable, when unplugging.

Do not immerse the appliance in water for cleaning (7.) (danger

of short-circuit!). Also do not put the appliance in a dishwasher
(danger of short-circuit!). Follow the cleaning and care instructions
on page 45
.
Ensure that the local mains supply matches that detailed on the

appliance type label.
Position the mains cable and any extension cables in a safe man-
■
ner, so that nobody can trip over them.
Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces or objects and from
■
naked flames (8.).
Remove the mains cable from the power supply and let the appli-
■
ance cool down before cleaning.
If the appliance becomes damaged or defective, remove the
■
mains plug immediately and take it to a professional electrical
dealer for checking and repair. Never attempt to repair the appli-
ance yourself (9.)! The manufacturer accepts no liability for dam-
ages or injuries arising from non-professional repairs or attempt-
ed repair.
Children above 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical,
■
sensory or mental capacity or lacking experience and knowledge
may only use the appliance under supervision or if they have been
instructed on its safe use and understand the associated dangers.
Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance by the user must not be performed by children
unsupervised.
CAUTION with fondue bourguignonne: hot oil can overheat the

handle (use oven gloves or panholders).
