HANDLING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
HANDLING
Even though the ZD 6-24x56 rifle telescopic
sight has a robust, dustproof and waterproof
construction, like any other optical-
mechanical devices it requires careful
handling and protection of the optical
surfaces against damage.
IF THE TELESCOPIC SIGHT IS NOT BEING
USED, IT IS ADvISABLE TO PROTECT THE
OPTICAL SURFACES OF THE EYEPIECE AND
LENS WITH CAPS OR TO PROTECT THE
ENTIRE SCOPE WITH A TACTICAL COvER.
During use, the device must be protected
from extreme conditions, i.e. extreme
shock, heat, acid and alkaline environments,
etc. Do not touch the optical surfaces of
the telescopic sight during operation and
maintenance.
If this happens, the affected optical surface
must be cleaned in accordance with the
maintenance instructions.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Keep the device clean and remove any
impurities immediately after use. Wipe the
metal parts with a clean cloth, and clean
all optical surfaces with the included lens
cleaning cloth. The optical surfaces must not
be cleaned using the flannel cloth, which is
intended for cleaning the metal parts. When
cleaning the optical surfaces, blow off the
dust particles, breathe on the glass, and
clean it gently with the lens cleaning cloth.
Clean the surface with a circular motion
from the centre towards the edge. Coarse
impurities on the optical parts (such as mud)
must first be washed off with water and then
gently wiped dry using the lens cleaning
cloth.
Clean the optical surfaces with care, do
not touch these surfaces with your fingers,
or with a greasy or dirty cloth. Even
insignificant grease stains can affect the
image quality. Impurities (sand grains etc.)
on the cloth may scratch the optical layers,
reducing the quality of the device. Grease
stains can be removed using a swab and a
mixture of alcohol and ether.
WARNING
The telescopic sight must never be cleaned
with solvents or other chemicals, hard and
sharp objects, abrasive cleaning agents
and soiled fabrics. THERE IS A RISK OF
PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE TELESCOPIC
SIGHT!
